1. Qué es LACTULOSA LAINCO y para qué se utiliza

Lactulosa pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos llamados laxantes osmóticos orales, que actúan aumentando el tamaño del bolo fecal.

LACTULOSA LAINCO se utiliza en el tratamiento del estreñimiento crónico.

También se usa en aquellos casos en los que sea necesario ablandar las heces para facilitar la defecación (por ejemplo, hemorroides, fístulas, fisuras anales, abscesos, úlceras, tras intervenciones quirúrgicas del recto y ano).

Y también se utiliza para el tratamiento y prevención de la encefalopatía hepática portosistémica.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar LACTULOSA LAINCO

No tome LACTULOSA LAINCO si

  • Es alérgico a lactulosa o a cualquiera de los componentes de LACTULOSA LAINCO.
  • Tiene intolerancia a la galactosa.
  • Padece obstrucción intestinal.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico, farmacéutico o enfermero antes de empezar a tomar LACTULOSA LAINCO:

  • Si tiene azúcar en la sangre (diabetes) y toma dosis altas de LACTULOSA LAINCO.
  • Si se utilizan dosis altas durante un largo periodo de tiempo, ya que podría producirse diarrea con una pérdida excesiva de líquidos (deshidratación) y aumento de los niveles de sodio. Esto es especialmente importante para los ancianos y para los niños.
  • Cada 5 ml contienen no más de 0,5 g de galactosa, no más de 0,33 g de lactosa y cantidades pequeñísimas de fructosa. Los pacientes con intolerancia hereditaria a galactosa (como galactosemia) o a la fructosa, con insuficiencia de lactasa de Lapp (insuficiencia observada en ciertas poblaciones de Laponia) o malabsorción de glucosa o galactosa no deben tomar este medicamento.

3. Cómo tomar LACTULOSA LAINCO

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

LACTULOSA LAINCO es un medicamento que se administra por vía oral.

La dosis correspondiente de la solución oral puede tomarse tanto diluida, mezclándola con zumos, infusiones o agua, como sin diluir.

La dosis recomendada es de:

  • Adultos
  • Estreñimiento crónico

La dosis inicial recomendada es de 30 ml (2 cucharadas soperas), repartida en dos tomas durante 2-3 días.

La dosis de mantenimiento es de 15-30 ml (1-2 cucharadas soperas) al día, que se administrarán en una sola toma, preferiblemente durante el desayuno.

  • Estados en los que sean necesarias heces blandas

La dosis recomendada es de 15 ml (1 cucharada sopera) una, dos o tres veces al día.

  • Encefalopatía hepática portosistémica

La dosis inicial será de 30 a 45 ml (2-3 cucharadas soperas), tres veces al día.

La dosis de mantenimiento se ajustará con el fin de conseguir dos o tres deposiciones al día.

  • Niños y adolescentes
  • Estreñimiento crónico y ablandamiento de las heces

Niños menores de 1 año: la dosis inicial recomendada es de 5 ml (1 cucharada de postre) por día, durante 2 días. La dosis de mantenimiento es de 5 ml (1 cucharada de postre) por día.

Niños entre 1-6 años: la dosis inicial recomendada es de 10 ml (2 cucharadas de postre) por día, durante 2 días. La dosis de mantenimiento es de 5-10 ml (1-2 cucharadas de postre) por día.

En niños menores de 6 años se recomienda administrar LACTULOSA LAINCO sin diluir.

Niños y adolescentes entre 7-14 años: la dosis inicial recomendada es de 20 ml (4 cucharadas de postre) por día, durante 2 días. La dosis de mantenimiento es de 10-15 ml (2-3 cucharadas de postre) por día.

  • Encefalopatía hepática portosistémica

El médico ajustará la dosis en función del peso del niño.

El efecto del medicamento puede tardar en producirse 2 o 3 días.

El médico establecerá la duración del tratamiento.

Si toma más LACTULOSA LAINCO del que debiera

Si ha tomado más LACTULOSA LAINCO de lo que debe puede presentar diarrea que desaparecerá al dejar de tomar este medicamento. El tratamiento en estos casos será la administración de líquidos y electrolitos.

En caso de sobredosis o de ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida. Si olvidó tomar LACTULOSA LAINCO

Si olvida tomar una dosis, tómela tan pronto como lo recuerde y siga con el tratamiento normal. No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos LACTULOSA LAINCO puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Durante los primeros días de tratamiento se puede producir acúmulo de gases en el intestino que le pueden provocar molestias abdominales y aumento de las ventosidades. Suelen desaparecer al cabo de unos días.

Especialmente con dosis elevadas, puede producirse dolor abdominal y diarrea, con sus potenciales complicaciones de pérdida de líquidos, disminución de los niveles de potasio y aumento de los niveles de sodio. También pueden aparecer náuseas y vómitos.

Reacciones adversas con frecuencia no conocida (no puede estimarse a partir de los datos disponibles): reacciones alérgicas, erupción, prurito, urticaria.

5. Conservación de LACTULOSA LAINCO

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase, después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

Conservar en el embalaje original.

No congelar. Aún en las condiciones de almacenamiento recomendadas, puede producirse un oscurecimiento del color, lo cual es característico de las soluciones azucaradas y no afecta a la acción terapéutica.

No tire los medicamentos por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico dónde tirar los medicamentos que ya no utiliza. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

El principio activo es lactulosa. Cada mililitro contiene 0,67 g de lactulosa.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

Este medicamento se presenta en forma de solución oral, de color amarillento. Se presenta en botellas de plástico de 200 ml u 800 ml y envase clínico con 10 botellas de 800 ml.

Otras presentaciones son: LACTULOSA LAINCO 10 g solución oral en sobres EFG. Envases de 10 o 50 sobres unidosis de 15 ml y envase clínico de 200 sobres de 15 ml.
