Does Oladoctor provide medical supervision or clinical oversight?
No. Oladoctor is a healthcare marketplace and does not act as a clinic, healthcare provider, or supervising entity. Doctors operate independently and are responsible for the care they provide.
What if a patient needs a prescription or referral and is in another country?
If the patient is located in another country and you believe that a prescription or referral for tests is required, a local clinical assessment can be arranged after the consultation. In this case, another doctor who holds a valid medical license in the patient’s country of residence will provide a second opinion and make an independent decision regarding the issuance of the document. All prescriptions and recommendations comply with medical standards and the legal requirements of the respective country.
What if a medication isn’t available in the patient’s country?
If a prescribed medication is not available or approved locally, the reviewing doctor may recommend a clinically appropriate alternative that meets the patient’s needs and complies with local pharmaceutical regulations.
Who is responsible for clinical decisions?
Doctors are fully and solely responsible for the consultations they provide and any resulting recommendations or documentation. Oladoctor does not supervise, verify, or intervene in medical decisions.
Do I need insurance?
We strongly recommend maintaining appropriate professional liability or malpractice insurance in accordance with your location and type of practice. Oladoctor does not provide legal, medical, or insurance coverage.
How do payments work?
Doctors are paid directly via supported payment providers (e.g., Stripe). You set your fee, Oladoctor applies a service fee on top. Earnings are visible in your dashboard, and payouts are processed automatically after each session.
Do I need to register as a business or handle taxes myself?
Doctors are responsible for their own tax obligations and local business registration, if applicable. Oladoctor does not provide tax advice or reporting. Payments are issued directly to the doctor via Stripe.
Are there rules about how I structure my consultations?
You decide the structure of your consultations. You can set the duration, buffer time before and after each session, how far in advance patients can book, and your availability for each day of the week — including breaks and time off. Oladoctor does not impose fixed formats or scheduling rules.
