1. Qué es Tuscalman y para qué se utiliza

La noscapina es un antitusígeno de acción central que actúa reduciendo temporalmente el impulso de la tos.

Tuscalman está indicado en el tratamiento sintomático de todas las formas de tos no productiva (tos seca).

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Tuscalman

No tome Tuscalman

  • si es alérgico al principio activo o cualquiera alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Tuscalman Este medicamento puede producir somnolencia.

Este medicamento contiene sacarosa. Si su médico le ha indicado que padece una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares, consulte con él antes de tomar este medicamento.

Los pacientes con diabetes mellitus deben tener en cuenta que este medicamento contiene 5,130 g de sacarosa por cada 10 ml.

Este medicamento contiene 87,15 mg de sorbitol en cada ml.

El sorbitol es una fuente de fructosa. Si su médico le ha indicado que usted (o su hijo) padecen una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares, o se les ha diagnosticado intolerancia hereditaria a la fructosa (IFH), una enfermedad genética rara, en la que el paciente no puede descomponer la fructosa, consulte usted (o su hijo) con su médico antes de tomar este medicamento.

Este medicamento contiene 1 mg de benzoato de sodio en cada ml..

3. Cómo tomar Tuscalman

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a sumédico o farmacéutico .

Recuerde tomar su medicamento.

Su médico le indicará la duración del tratamiento con Tuscalman .

No suspenda el tratamiento antes ya que volverían a aparecer los mismos síntomas.

Este medicamento y su forma de administración le ha sido prescrito exclusivamente a usted. No debe darlo nunca a otras personas ni ser utilizado para otros tipos de trastornos.

Tuscalman debe tomarse preferiblemente después de las comidas.

La dosis recomendada es:

AdulLa dosis recomendadaes de 2 cucharadas de postre (2 por 5 ml) cada 5-6 horas.

Uso en niños y adolescentes:

Niños de 2 a 6 años: Media cucharada de postre (2,5 ml) cada 5-6 horas.

Niños de 6 a 12 años: 1 cucharada de postre (5 ml) cada 5-6 horas.

Si toma más Tuscalman del que debe

El síntoma más frecuente en caso de sobredosis es sensación de sueño excesivo.

El tratamiento de la sobredosis consiste en la provocación del vómito mediante la administración de eméticos o lavado gástrico.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida..

Si olvidó tomar Tuscalman

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas. Limítese a tomar la dosis siguiente como de costumbre.

5. Conservación de Tuscalman

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Conservar en el embalaje original para protegerlo de la luz.

Una vez abierto el envase caduca a los 6 meses.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.
