Posaconazol Abdi contains a medication called posaconazol, which belongs to a group of medications known as "antifungals". It is used to prevent and treat many different types of fungal infections.

This medication works by killing or preventing the growth of certain types of fungi that can cause infections.

Posaconazol Abdi can be used in adults to treat fungal infections caused by fungi of the familyAspergillus.

Posaconazol Abdi can be used in adults and children aged 2 years or older and weighing more than 40 kg to treat the following types of fungal infections:

  • patients who present a weakened immune system as a result of having received chemotherapy for "acute myeloid leukemia" (AML) or "myelodysplastic syndromes" (MDS)
