Morry 500 mg/g Ointment

Salicylic Acid

Ungüento Morry is a medication that contains the active ingredient salicylic acid. Salicylic acid has a keratolytic action (dissolves keratin in the skin) allowing the removal of calluses, warts, hard skin, and common moles when applied to the skin.

This medication is used in the treatment of hard skin and calluses as well as common warts in adults and adolescents over 12 years old.

You should consult a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 4-6 days.

Do not use Morry Ointment:

• if you are allergic to salicylic acid, or to salicylates, or to any of the other components of this medication (listed in section 6).
• if you are diabetic or have circulation problems in your legs.
• if the skin is infected, red, inflamed, irritated, or in areas of the skin that are painful.
• in areas where there are moles.

Warnings and precautions

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to use Morry Ointment.

• this medication is exclusively for topical use (on the skin).
• avoid contact of the medication with healthy skin, face, neck, genitals, eyes, and mucous membranes. In case of accidental application in these areas, rinse with plenty of water.
• although a careful application is made, the complete or partial detachment of the callus may cause some inflammatory or reddening reaction.

In any case, if the discomfort increases during treatment or persists after its interruption, it is advisable to consult the doctor.

Other medications and Morry Ointment

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have used recently, or may have to use any other medication.

You should not use at the same time other medications that serve to remove calluses, hardness, or warts, such as medications that contain benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol, sulfur, tretinoin, or topical preparations that contain alcohol. The combined use of these products could potentiate their effects and increase the adverse effects.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or intend to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.

You should not use Morry Ointment during pregnancy, except for the short-term treatment of a small area of skin, wart, callus, or corn.

Oral forms (e.g., tablets) of this type of medication may cause adverse effects in the fetus. It is unknown if the same risks apply to Morry Ointment when used on the skin, in warts, calluses, and corns.

Driving and operating machines

No appreciable effects have been observed that affect these abilities.

Follow exactly the administration instructions for this medication as indicated by your doctor or pharmacist. In case of doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.

This medication is for topical application (exclusively on the skin).

Adults and adolescents over 12 years:

Before application, wash the affected area with warm soapy water and dry. Then, protect the skin around the callus or wart with vaseline. Apply the ointment to the desired area 2 times a day, at bedtime and upon waking. After each application, it is recommended to cover the area with a hydrophilic gauze or bandage (do not use cotton). Hands should be washed after each application.

Calluses usually fall off on their own within 3-6 days. If not, wash the affected area with warm water to facilitate removal.

Use in children:

This medication should be used exclusively under medical supervision in children under 12 years.

If you use more Ungüento Morry than you should:

Due to the mode of application of the medication, no poisoning phenomena are expected with the topical use of the same.

In case of accidental application to the eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water.

Accidental ingestion may cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, confusion, dizziness, headache, tachycardia (increased heart rate), hyperventilation (rapid or deep breathing), and tinnitus (ringing in the ears). In case of accidental ingestion, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately or call the Toxicological Information Service at Teléfono 91.562.04.20, indicating the medication and the amount ingested.

Like all medications, this medication may produce adverse effects, although not all people will experience them.

If the medication comes into contact with healthy skin in the surrounding areas when applied, it may cause irritation, inflammation, or even a wound. In this case, it is recommended to temporarily suspend treatment until the irritation disappears. When resuming treatment, special attention should be paid to protecting healthy skin around the wart or callus, so that the ointment only comes into contact with the affected area.

It has been observed that skin allergic reactions occur frequently (affecting up to 1 in 10 patients).

However, if you consider any of the adverse effects you are experiencing to be severe or if you notice any adverse effect not mentioned in this prospectus, inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Reporting Adverse Effects

If you experienceany type of adverse effect, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse, even if it ispossibleadverse effects not listed in this prospectus.You can also report them directly through the Spanish System for Pharmacovigilance of Medicinal Products for Human Use:https://www.notificaram.es. By reporting adverse effects, you can contribute to providing more information on the safety of this medication.

Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not store at a temperature above 25°C. Store in the original packaging.

Do not use this medication after the expiration date that appears on the packaging after CAD. The expiration date is the last day of the month indicated.

The shelf life after opening the packaging is 2 months.

Medications should not be disposed of through drains or trash. Dispose of the packaging and medications you no longer need at the SIGRE collection point at the pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the packaging and medications you no longer need. By doing so, you will help protect the environment.

Composition of Morry Ointment

• The active principle is salicylic acid, 500 mg per gram.
• The other components are: liquid paraffin, soft white paraffin, and geranium-rose essence.
