1. What is Senshio and what is it used for
Senshio contains the active substance ospemifene.
Ospemifene belongs to a group of non-hormonal medicines called selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs).
Senshio is usedto treat moderate to severe postmenopausal symptoms in and around the vagina, such as itching, dryness, burning, or pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia). This is known as vulvar and vaginal atrophy. It is caused by a decrease in the levels of the female hormone estrogen in your body. When this happens, the vaginal walls become thinner. This occurs naturally after menopause (postmenopause).
Senshio worksin a similar way to some of the beneficial effects of estrogen, helping to improve these symptoms and the underlying causes of vulvar and vaginal atrophy.
2. What you need to know before you take Senshio
Do not take Senshio
