1. Qué es Isopto B12 y para qué se utiliza

Isopto B12 pertenece al grupo de los medicamentos oftálmicos.

Isopto B12 contiene como principio activo cianocobalamina (Vitamina B12).

Isopto B12 está indicado como tratamiento complementario de los problemas de cicatrización de la córnea.

Debe consultar a su médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 3 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Isopto B12

No use Isopto B12

  • Si es alérgico a los principios activos o a alguno de los demás componentes de Isopto B12

Advertencias y precauciones

  • Este medicamento sólo debe aplicarse en el ojo. No debe ingerirse ni inyectarse.
  • Al aplicar el medicamento, evitar el contacto del cuentagotas con el ojo y los dedos para prevenir una posible contaminación.

Otros medicamentos y Isopto B12

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando, ha utilizado recientemente o pudiera tener que utilizar cualquier otro medicamento.

Isopto B12 puede administrarse simultáneamente con cualquier otra medicación, ya sea local o general.

Si utiliza más de un colirio, las aplicaciones entre colirios deben espaciarse al menos 15 minutos.

Embarazo y lactancia

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar este medicamento.

Este medicamento puede producir reacciones alérgicas porque contiene tiomersal.

3. Cómo usar Isopto B12

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es 1 gota en el ojo afectado de 3 a 4 veces al día. Si empeora o si no mejora después de 3 días de tratamiento, interrumpa dicho tratamiento y consulte a su médico.

Instrucciones para la correcta administración del medicamento

Con la cabeza inclinada hacia atrás, separar hacia abajo el párpado inferior y dejar caer las gotas en el saco conjuntival (espacio entre el ojo y el párpado), mientras se dirige la mirada hacia arriba. Cerrar los ojos suavemente y mantenerlos cerrados durante algunos segundos.

Recomendaciones para la utilización de colirios.

Por tratarse de un preparado estéril, se recomienda seguir las siguientes instrucciones:

  • Cada paciente utilizará su propio envase.
  • La aplicación del colirio deberá realizarse con la máxima higiene: limpieza de manos y evitando en lo posible cualquier contacto del goteador con alguna superficie (incluido el ojo).
  • Después de cada aplicación, mantener el frasco perfectamente cerrado.
  • Desechar al mes de abierto el envase

Si usa más Isopto B12del que debe

Debido a las características de este medicamento no son de esperar fenómenos de intoxicación.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica. Teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el producto y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó usar Isopto B12

No use una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

5. Conservación de Isopto B12

Mantener fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice Isopto B12 después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase, después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

No se precisan condiciones especiales de conservación.

Desechar al mes de abrir el envase.

  • El principio activo es cianocobalamina (VitaminaB12). Cada ml contiene 0,5 mg, de cianocobalamina.
