1. Qué es FLUIDASA CÁPSULAS y para qué se utiliza

Este medicamento contiene mepifilina que pertenece al grupo de medicamentos antihistamínicos.

Fluidasa Cápsulas se utiliza para el tratamiento de la broncoconstricción en pacientes con bronquitis agudas y crónicas (inflamación de los bronquios).

2. Antes de tomar FLUIDASA CÁPSULAS

No tome Fluidasa Cápsulas:

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a mepifilina o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de Fluidasa

Cápsulas.

  • Si padece alguna enfermedad del hígado.
  • Si padece obstrucción de la vejiga urinaria.
  • Si padece hipertrofia prostática sintomática o retención urinaria.
  • Si padece glaucoma de ángulo cerrado.

Tenga especial cuidado con Fluidasa Cápsulas:

  • Si usted es sensible a los antihistamínicos (medicamentos para la alergia) ya que los pacientes sensibles a algún antihistamínico pueden ser sensibles a otros.
  • Si es usted un paciente de edad avanzada ya que es más probable que padezca efectos secundarios tales como mareo, sedación, confusión, bajada de la tensión, sequedad de boca o retención urinaria. Si estos efectos fueran persistentes o graves, deberá decírselo al médico por si hubiera que suspender la medicación.
  • No se recomienda su uso en recién nacidos ni en niños prematuros, debido a que este grupo de edad es más sensible a algunos efectos del medicamento como los llamados efectos anticolinérgicos (por ejemplo excitación del Sistema Nervioso Central) y una mayor tendencia a las convulsiones.

Uso de otros medicamentos:

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando o ha utilizado recientemente otros medicamentos, incluso los adquiridos sin receta.

Especialmente, informe a su médico si está utilizando los siguientes medicamentos ya que pueden potenciarse algunos de sus efectos:

  • Medicamentos del grupo de los medicamentos anticolinérgicos (por ejemplo algunos medicamentos utilizados para el alivio de espasmos o contracciones del estómago, intestino o vejiga)
  • Medicamentos utilizados para el tratamiento de la depresión como los llamados inhibidores de la monoaminooxidasa (IMAO), los antidepresivos tricíclicos o la maprotilina.
  • Si debe realizarse pruebas de alergia en la piel, se recomienda suspender la administración de Fluidasa Cápsulas al menos 72 horas antes de comenzar la prueba porque puede dar resultados falsamente negativos (resultados negativos que en realidad son positivos).

Toma de Fluidasa Cápsulas con los alimentos y bebidas:

Debe evitar la ingesta de bebidas alcohólicas durante la administración de este medicamento ya que puede potenciar los efectos del alcohol.

Embarazo y lactancia

No se recomienda tomar Fluidasa Cápsulas durante el embarazo.

No se recomienda tomar Fluidasa Cápsulas durante la lactancia.

Conducción y uso de máquinas:

Fluidasa Cápsulas puede producir somnolencia alterando la capacidad mental y/o física. Si nota estos efectos evite conducir vehículos o utilizar máquinas.

3. Cómo tomar FLUIDASA CÁPSULAS

Fluidasa Cápsulas se administra por vía oral.

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de Fluidasa Cápsulas indicadas por su médico. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

La dosis normal es la siguiente:

Adultos:1 ó 2 cápsulas cada 8 horas; es decir, 3 a 6 cápsulas al día.

Si usted tiene la impresión de que el efecto de Fluidasa Cápsulas es demasiado fuerte o demasiado débil, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico.

Si toma más Fluidasa Cápsulas de lo que debiera:

Si ha tomado más Fluidasa Cápsulas de lo que debe, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico.

En casos de sobredosis pueden aparecer síntomas de efectos anticolinérgicos tales como torpeza, inestabilidad, sueño intenso, sequedad de boca, nariz o garganta, sofoco o enrojecimiento, variaciones del ritmo normal del latido del corazón, depresión del Sistema Nervioso Central (alucinaciones), bajada de la tensión. En niños son más probables los efectos anticolinergicos estimulantes del SNC.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consultar al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono: 91 562 04 20.

Si olvidó tomar Fluidasa Cápsulas:

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Tome su dosis tan pronto como sea posible y continúe tomándola cada día a la hora indicada por el médico.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Fluidasa Cápsulas puede tener efectos adversos aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Los efectos adversos encontrados han sido:

Muy frecuentes (al menos 1 de cada 10 pacientes): sueño.

Frecuentes (al menos 1 de cada 100 pacientes): visión borrosa, confusión, dificultad para orinar, mareos, boca seca, aceleración de los latidos del corazón, zumbido de oídos, erupción en la piel, molestia o dolor en la boca del estómago.

Poco frecuentes (al menos 1 de cada 1000 pacientes): estado anormal o patológico de la sangre (discrasias) y variaciones del ritmo normal del latido del corazón.

Si considera que alguno de los efectos adversos que sufre es grave o si aprecia cualquier efecto adverso no mencionado en este prospecto, informe a su médico o farmacéutico.

5. Conservación de FLUIDASA CÁPSULAS

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 25ºC.

No utilice Fluidasa Cápsulas después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de su farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.
