1. What Difenatil Infantil is and what it is used for
Paracetamol, the active ingredient in Difenatil Infantil, belongs to a group of medications called analgesics and antipyretics.
This medication is used for the symptomatic treatment of febrile states and for the relief of mild or moderate pain in children between 3 and 32 kg in weight (approximately from 0 to 10 years).
You should consult a doctor if your condition worsens or does not improve after 3 days, in case of fever, or if pain persists in children for more than 3 days (2 days for throat pain).
2. What you need to know before taking Difenatil Infantil
Do not take Difenatil Infantil
- If you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other components of this medication (listed in section 6).
- If you have phenylketonuria (a hereditary disease diagnosed at birth).
Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before starting to take this medication.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose in section 3 "How to take Difenatil Infantil". Check that you are not using other medications that contain paracetamol at the same time.
- In patients with kidney, heart, or lung disease, and in patients with anemia (decrease in hemoglobin levels in the blood, due to or not due to a decrease in red blood cells), consult your doctor before taking the medication.
