1. Qué es HarpagoMed y para qué se utiliza

HarpagoMed es un medicamento tradicional a base de plantas, utilizado en el tratamiento de dolores articulares leves.

Su utilización se basa exclusivamente en su uso tradicional.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar HarpagoMed

No tome HarpagoMed:

  • si es alérgico al harpagofito (conocido también como garra del diablo) o alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar HarpagoMed.

No exceder la dosis recomendada.

Si los síntomas empeoran o no hay mejoría después de 4 semanas de tratamiento u ocurre alguna reacción adversa no mencionada en este prospecto, acuda a su médico.

Si padece úlcera gástrica o duodenal o problemas cardiovasculares deberá utilizarse con precaución.

Si el dolor viene acompañado de hinchazón de la articulación, enrojecimiento o fiebre, debe consultar a un médico.

Los pacientes con piedras en la vesícula biliar deben consultar a su médico antes de utilizar la garra del diablo.

Niños y adolescentes

No se recomienda administrar a niños y adolescentes menores de 18 años. No existen datos suficientes.

3. Cómo tomar HarpagoMed

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos y ancianos: 1- 2 comprimidos, 2 veces al día inmediatamente después de las comidas.

HarpagoMed es exclusivamente de uso oral. No tomar más de la dosis recomendada.

Uso en niños

No utilizar en menores de 18 años sin consultar al médico.

Si toma más HarpagoMed del que debe

Si usted toma más HarpagoMed del que debe y se siente enfermo, consulte inmediatamente a su médico.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó tomar HarpagoMed

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Tome HarpagoMed según la dosis recomendada.

Si interrumpe el tratamiento con HarpagoMed

Usted puede dejar de tomar HarpagoMed cuando quiera sin ningún problema.

5. Conservación de HarpagoMed

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance y de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Este medicamento no requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilizar HarpagoMed si percibe un cambio en el color. Los comprimidos deben ser blancos.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de HarpagoMed

  • El principio activo es el extracto de la raíz de Harpagophytum procumbens DC. (garra del diablo) y/o Harpagophytum zeyheri Decne.

Un comprimido recubierto de HarpagoMed contiene:

480 mg de extracto seco de raíz de garra del diablo (Harpagophytum procumbensDC. y /o H. zeyheriDecne.) equivalente a 720-1440 mg de raíz de garra del diablo.

Solvente de extracción: etanol 60 % (v/v)

  • Los demás componentes son: lactosa, almidón de maíz, celulosa microcristalina, sílice precipitada, sílice coloidal, estearato magnésico (de origen vegetal)

La capa que recubre el comprimido contiene: talco, dióxido de titanio, Macrogol e hidroximetilcelulosa.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

HarpagoMed se presenta en forma de comprimidos ovalados blancos, envasados en frascos de vidrio con 30, 60 y 120 comprimidos.

Puede que no se comercializen todos los tamaños de envase.
