1. What Triflusal Farmalider is and what it is used for

Triflusal belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelet agents, which work by preventing the formation of blood clots (thrombi) that can block blood vessels.

This medicine is indicated in adults to reduce the risk of recurrence of a myocardial infarction, stable or unstable angina pectoris, or a cerebral infarction in patients who have previously suffered from any of these conditions.

It is also indicated in patients who have undergone coronary bypass surgery.

Do not take Triflusal Farmalider:

3. HOW TO TAKE Triflusal Farmalider

Follow the instructions for administration of Triflusal Farmalider indicated by your doctor.

Your doctor will indicate the duration of your treatment with Triflusal Farmalider. Do not stop it without your doctor's indication.

The recommended dose is two capsules (600 mg of triflusal) per day, in a single dose or divided into two doses, or three capsules (900 mg of triflusal) per day, divided into three doses.

Method of administration

Triflusal Farmalider is administered orally.

Swallow the capsule with a sufficient amount of liquid and preferably with meals.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, triflusal can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

The most common side effect is stomach heaviness. Headache, abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, vomiting, flatulence, and anorexia may also appear. These symptoms are usually mild and disappear after a few days, even without stopping treatment. Uncommonly, gastrointestinal bleeding, diarrhea, blood in urine, hematoma, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, and cerebral hemorrhage have been observed. Isolated cases of allergic skin reactions to sunlight have also been reported.

If you experience any of the mentioned side effects intensely or prolonged, interrupt treatment and consult your doctor as soon as possible.

5. Storage of Triflusal Farmalider
