1. Qué es Intrazolina 1.000 mg polvo y disolvente para solución inyectable y para perfusión y para qué se utiliza

Este medicamento pertenece a un grupo de antibióticos denominados cefalosporinas.

Los antibióticos se utilizan para tratar infecciones bacterianas y no sirven para tratar infecciones víricas como la gripe o el catarro.

Es importante que siga las instrucciones relativas a la dosis, el intervalo de administración y la duración del tratamiento indicadas por su médico.

No guarde ni reutilice este medicamento. Si una vez finalizado el tratamiento le sobra antibiótico, devuélvalo a la farmacia para su correcta eliminación. No debe tirar losmedicamentos por el desagüe ni a la basura.

INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg se usa para el tratamiento de las siguientes infecciones bacterianas:

2. Antes de usar Intrazolina 1.000 mg polvo y disolvente para solución inyectable y para perfusión

No use INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a la Cefazolina, a otras cefalosporinas, o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg.

Advertencias y precauciones

  • Si Vd. presenta diarrea intensa y duradera puede ser debido a un tipo especial de colitis, llamada colitis pseudomembranosa, que puede ser grave. En este caso, su médico suspenderá la administración de cefazolina e instaurará un tratamiento adecuado.
  • Si Vd. sigue un tratamiento prolongado con INTRAZOLINA, pueden aparecer otras infecciones (sobreinfecciones) debidas a un sobrecrecimiento de algunos organismos tales como cándidas.
  • Si Vd. padece insuficiencia renal, es posible que su médico tenga que ajustar la dosis de cefazolina que usted debe recibir.
  • Si le tienen que realizar algún análisis de sangre, debe informar al personal sanitario que está en tratamiento con este medicamento, dado que cefazolina puede interferir los resultados.

Uso de INTRAZOLINA con otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando, o ha utilizado recientemente o podría tener que utilizar cualquier otro medicamento.

INTRAZOLINA no debe administrarse simultáneamente con:

  • Otros antibióticos que tengan un mecanismo de acción similar como las tetraciclinas, las sulfonamidas, la eritromicina y el cloranfenicol
  • Medicamentos que ayudan a hacer más fluida la sangre (anticoagulantes)
  • Probenecid
  • Medicamentos tóxicos para el riñón

Embarazo, lactancia y fertilidad

Cefazolina en general, no altera la capacidad de conducir vehículos y de manejar maquinaria.

INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg contiene sodio.

Los pacientes con dietas pobres en sodio deben tener en cuenta que este medicamento contiene 51 mg (2,22 mmol) de sodio por dosis.

3. Cómo usar Intrazolina 1.000 mg polvo y disolvente para solución inyectable y para perfusión

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de dudas consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

Este medicamento se puede administrar por vía intramuscular mediante inyección o por vía intravenosa mediante inyección lenta.

Recuerde que la administración debe realizarse por personal médico.

Recuerde solicitar la administración de su medicamento.

Su médico le indicará la dosis apropiada y determinará la duración de su tratamiento; no lo suspenda antes ni lo prolongue.

Puede ser necesaria una reducción de la dosis si padece alguna alteración renal o hepática. En tal caso comuníqueselo a su médico para que le ajuste la dosis convenientemente.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos y adolescentes (de 12 a 18 años):en el caso de infecciones leves 500 mg cada 8 horas; en infecciones de moderadas a graves de 500 mg a 1g cada 6 u 8 horas; en infecciones de mayor gravedad de 1 a 1,5g cada 6 horas.

Población pediátrica (mayores de 1 año y menores de 12 años) y lactantes (mayores de 1 mes y menores de 12 meses):una dosis total diaria de 25 a 50 mg por kg de peso, dividida en tres o cuatro dosis iguales, es eficaz en la mayoría de las infecciones leves a moderadas. La dosis total diaria no debe exceder de 100 mg/kg ni siquiera en casos de infecciones graves.

Si usa más INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg del que debe

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica teléfono 91 562 04 20 indicando el medicamento y la cantidad utilizada.

Si olvidó usar INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg

No use una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Si interrumpe el tratamiento con INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg

No suspenda el tratamiento antes de terminarlo, ya que no se lograría el efecto deseado. Es muy importante tratar las infecciones durante el tiempo recomendado, en caso contrario podría empeorar.

Infecciones e infestaciones:

Infecciones de los genitales.

Trastornos de la sangre y del sistema linfático:

Disminución en el número de glóbulos blancos, glóbulos rojos y plaquetas.

Trastornos del sistema inmunológico:

Lo más frecuente es la aparición de lesiones en la piel que pueden tener aspecto variado. Otras reacciones posibles son picor, hinchazón de la cara, dificultad para respirar

Trastornos del sistema nervioso:

Puede producirse mareo, malestar, fatiga, dificultad para conciliar el sueño, pesadillas, debilidad y crisis convulsivas.

Trastornos gastrointestinales:

Náuseas, pérdida de apetito, vómitos, diarrea, úlceras en la boca y picor anal.

Trastornos hepatobiliares:

Elevación pasajera de algunas enzimas (transaminasas), raramente hepatitis y coloración amarillenta de la piel.

Trastornos de la piel y del tejido subcutáneo:

Picor en los genitales

Trastornos renales y urinarios:

Aumento de urea en la sangre que puede indicar mal funcionamiento de los riñones, raramente inflamación de los riñones

Trastornos generales y alteraciones en el lugar de administración:

Dolor en la zona de inyección intramuscular e inflamación de la vena en el lugar de inyección.

5. Conservación de Intrazolina 1.000 mg polvo y disolvente para solución inyectable y para perfusión

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Conservar en el embalaje original para protegerlo de la luz.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 25ºC.

La solución reconstituida con el disolvente es estable durante 8 horas a una temperatura no superior a 25ºC y durante 24 horas si se conserva en nevera (2-8ºC).

No utilice INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico como deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg

El principio activo es cefazolina.

Cada vial contiene 1.000 mg de cefazolina (como cefazolina sódica). Los demás componentes son: agua para preparaciones inyectables.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg se presenta en forma de polvo, de color blanco o casi blanco, o ligeramente amarillento, y disolvente para solución inyectable. Se presenta en estuches con 1 vial con 1.000 mg de polvo de cefazolina y 1 ampolla de 4 ml de agua para preparaciones inyectables como disolvente y envases clínicos con 100 viales y 100 ampollas de disolvente.

Otras presentaciones

INTRAZOLINA 500 mg polvo y disolvente para solución inyectable y para perfusión: estuche con 1 vial + 1 ampolla de 2 ml de agua para preparaciones inyectables. Envase clínico con 100 viales + 100 ampollas.

  • Estabilidad de la solución de Intrazolina reconstituida:

Después de la reconstitución, Intrazolina puede almacenarse hasta 3 horas a temperatura inferior a +25° C y hasta 6 horas entre +2 y +8°.

La coloración ligeramente amarilla de la solución no indica alteración de la eficacia del antibiótico, ni en su tolerancia. No deberán ser administradas las soluciones de color amarillo pardo o marrón.

La estabilidad de la solución de Intrazolina a una concentración de 5 mg/ml a 10 mg/ ml es satisfactoria en los siguientes líquidos de perfusión:

  • Cloruro de sodio 0,9%
  • Glucosa 5% o al 10%
  • Glucosa al 5% en Ringer lactato
  • Cloruro de sodio 0,9% y Glucosa al 5%
  • Cloruro de sodio 0,45% y Glucosa al 5%
  • Ringer lactato

  • Cómo preparar este medicamento

Se administrará INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg de acuerdo a las siguientes instrucciones:

Administración intravenosa

Intrazolina puede ser administrada por inyección intravenosa directa o por infusión continua o intermitente

Para la inyección intravenosa directa (bolo):

Inyección intravenosa: 1.000 mg reconstituidos diluidos en 10 ml de agua para inyección. La solución se inyecta lentamente durante 3 a 5 minutos (no se debe administra en menos de tres minutos).

Para la perfusión intravenosa continua o intermitente:

Intrazolina puede administrarse a través de los principales sistemas de infusión de líquidos, controlando la velocidad de infusión, o en un segundo frasco de infusión intravenosa. La reconstitución de 1.000 mg de cefazolina se puede realizar en su disolvente y después diluirse en 50 a 100 ml de una de las siguientes soluciones intravenosas:

  • Cloruro de sodio 0,9%
  • Glucosa 5% o al 10%
  • Glucosa al 5% en Ringer lactato
  • Cloruro de sodio 0,9% y Glucosa al 5%
  • Cloruro de sodio 0,45% y Glucosa al 5%
  • Ringer lactato
  • Fructosa al 5% ó 10% en agua para inyección

Administración intramuscular

Para la inyección intramuscular, INTRAZOLINA 1.000 mg se reconstituye con el disolvente de la ampolla que se acompaña (4 ml de agua para preparaciones inyectables). Agitar bien hasta que se disuelva. La cefazolina debe ser inyectada en una zona de gran masa muscular.

La cefazolina intramuscular provoca dolor en el lugar de administración.
