1. Qué es Inistón Mucosidad y para qué se utiliza

Inistón Mucosidad contiene guaifenesina, que es un tipo de medicamento denominado expectorante.

Ayuda a aliviar la tos de pecho (tos productiva) disminuyendo las flemas (mocos), facilitando la expectoración y haciendo la tos más productiva. El medicamento está indicado para adultos y adolescentes a partir de 12 años.

Debe de consultar a su médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 7 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Inistón Mucosidad

No tome Inistón Mucosidad:

  • si es alérgico a la guaifenesina o a cualquiera de los demás componenes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Inistón Mucosidad:

  • si ha tenido tos durante más de 7 días o si su tos es recurrente o va acompañada de fiebre, erupción o dolor de cabeza persistente

Conducción y uso de máquinas

No se espera que Inistón Mucosidad¸ afecte a su habilidad para conducir o utilizar máquinas. Sin embargo, en caso de no encontrarse bien, no conduzca o utilice maquinaria.

Inistón Mucosidad contiene

  • Este medicamento contiene 381 mg de alcohol (etanol) en cada dosis de 10 ml, lo que equivale a 38,1 mg/ml. La cantidad en 10 ml de este medicamento equivale a 9,5 ml de cerveza o 3,8 ml de vino. La pequeña cantidad de alcohol en este medicamento no producirá efectos perceptibles.
  • Rojo Ponceau 4R(E-124), colorante rojo. Puede provocar reacciones alérgicas.
  • Este medicamento contiene menos de 1 mmol (23 mg) de sodio por dosis de 10 ml; esto es, esencialmente “exento de sodio”.
  • Este medicamento contiene 10 mg de benzoato de sodio por cada dosis de 10 ml.

5. Conservación de Inistón Mucosidad

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 25ºC.

Conservar en el embalaje original para protegerlo de la luz. No utilizar si el frasco está roto al comprarlo.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el frasco y en el estúche después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Después de abrir el envase, usar sólo en las 4 semanas siguientes.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto Sigre de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de Inistón Mucosidad

El principio activo es Guaifenesina. Cada ml de solución oral contiene 20 mg de guaifenesina (cada 10ml de solución oral contiene 200mg de guaifenesina)

Los demás componentes (excipientes) son: goma xantan, cloruro sódico, sacarina sódica, glicirrizato amónico, ácido cítrico, citrato sódico, macrogol glicerol hidroxiestearato-40, levomentol, aroma de frambuesa (incluye etanol), glicerol, macrogol 1500, propilenglicol (E1520), etanol, agua purificada, benzoato sódico (E211), Ponceau 4R (E124), caramelo (E150.
