Expectym es un medicamento tradicional de plantas que contribuye a aliviar la tos productiva asociada al resfriado, basado exclusivamente en su uso tradicional. Expectym es un medicamento para adultos, adolescentes y niños mayores de 4 años. Expectym contiene extracto líquido de tomillo (Thymus vulgarisL., herbao Thymus zygisL., herba).

Expectym contiene:

  • etanolal 3,1 vol % (alcohol), es decir, hasta 500 mg por dosis de 20 ml (o 125 mg por dosis de 5 ml), equivalente a 12,5 ml de cerveza, 5,1 ml de vino por dosis de 20 ml. Es perjudicial para personas que padecen alcoholismo. El contenido en alcohol se debe tener en cuenta en el caso de mujeres embarazadas o en periodo de lactancia, niños y grupos de alto riesgo, como pacientes con enferrmedades del hígado o epilepsia.
  • 380 mg/ml sorbitol(E420). El sorbitol puede producir un ligero efecto laxante. Valor calórico 2,6 kcal/g sorbitol. Si su médico le ha informado de que padece una intolerancia al sorbitol o a algunos azúcares, consulte con él antes de tomar este medicamento.

5. Conservación de Expectym

  • Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.
  • Conservar en su envase original.
  • Una vez abierto, el periodo de conservación de este medicamento es de 28 días.
  • No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la caja y el frasco después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.
  • Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de Expectym:

El principio activo es:

Extracto líquido de tomillo (Thymus vulgarisL., herbao Thymus zygisL., herba). 1 ml de jarabe (equivalente a 1,1 g) contiene 110 mg (0,11 ml) de extracto líquido de Thymus vulgarisL., herbao Thymus zygisL., herba (1 : 2-2,5).

Disolventes de extracción: solución de amoníaco 10 % (m/m) / glicerina 85 % (m/m) / etanol 90% (V/V) / agua purificada (1/20/70/109).

Los demás componentes son:

sorbitol (E420), ácido benzoico (E210), goma xantana y agua purificada.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

Expectym es un jarabe transparente, marrón, con el olor característico del tomillo. Está disponible en un frasco de color ámbar de 200 ml con tapón de plástico de seguridad para niños y dosificador.
