Desloratadine Viso contains desloratadine, which is an antihistamine.

Desloratadine Viso Farmacéutica is an anti-allergic medicine that does not cause drowsiness.

Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age

The recommended dose is one tablet once a day with water, with or without food.

This medicine is administered orally.

Swallow the tablet whole.

Regarding the duration of treatment, your doctor will determine the type of allergic rhinitis you have and how long you should take Desloratadine Viso Farmacéutica.

If your allergic rhinitis is intermittent (presence of symptoms for less than 4 days a week or for less than 4 weeks), your doctor will recommend a treatment schedule based on the assessment of your disease history.

If your allergic rhinitis is persistent (presence of symptoms for 4 or more days a week or for more than 4 weeks), your doctor may recommend long-term treatment.

For urticaria, the duration of treatment may vary from one patient to another, and therefore, you should follow your doctor's instructions.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

During the marketing of desloratadine, very rare cases of severe allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, wheezing, itching, rash, and swelling of the face, tongue, or throat) have been reported. If you experience any of these serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical attention immediately.

In clinical trials in adults, the side effects were approximately the same as with a tablet that does not contain the active ingredient. However, fatigue, dry mouth, and headache were reported more frequently than with a tablet that does not contain the active ingredient. In adolescents, headache was the most frequently reported adverse reaction.

The active substance is desloratadine. Each tablet contains 5 mg of desloratadine. The other ingredients of the tablet are microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, corn starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, and magnesium stearate.

Desloratadine Viso Farmacéutica is presented in white to light pink, circular, biconvex tablets marked with 'L5' on one face and smooth on the other face.
