1. Qué es Canephron y para qué se utiliza

Medicamento tradicional a base de plantas utilizado como coadyuvante en el alivio de síntomas asociados a afecciones menores del tracto urinario inferior y para aumentar la eliminación de orina y facilitar la eliminación de arenillas, basado exclusivamente en su uso tradicional.

Debe consultar a un médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 4 días.

2. Antes de tomar Canephron

No tome Canephron

  • Si es alérgico a centaura menor, levistico, romero o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • Si tiene recomendado disminuir la ingesta de líquidos (como en el caso de enfermedades cardíacas o renales).
  • Si usted padece úlcera péptica activa.

3. Cómo tomar Canephron

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos: Tomar 2 comprimidos recubiertos, tres veces al día.

Este medicamento se administra por vía oral.

El período recomendado de tratamiento es de 2 semanas, no obstante, si los síntomas no mejoran después de 4 días de tratamiento, consulte a su médico si debe continuar con el mismo.

Se recomienda tomar los comprimidos enteros, sin masticar, con un vaso de agua u otro líquido. (Ver apartado “Posibles efectos adversos”).

Beber más de 1 litro de agua favorece el tratamiento.

Uso en niños y adolescentes

No utilizar en niños y adolescentes menores de 18 años.

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si considera que los efectos de Canephron son demasiado fuertes o demasiado débiles.

Si toma más Canephron del que debe

No se ha informado de casos de sobredosificación con Canephron.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su farmacéutico o médico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91.562.04.20, indicando el producto y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó tomar Canephron

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Canephron puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todos las personas los sufran.

Son muy raros los casos de molestias gastrointestinales tales como náuseas, vómitos y diarrea (puede afectar hasta 1 de cada 10.000 personas).

En casos muy raros (puede afectar hasta 1 de cada 10.000 personas) se han descrito algunas reacciones alérgicas (por ejemplo picor, exantema y urticaria).

En caso de que se manifiesten los primeros signos de una reacción alérgica, no siga tomando Canephron.

Si considera que alguno de los efectos adversos que sufre es grave o si aprecia cualquier efecto adverso no mencionado en este prospecto, informe a su médico.

5. Conservación de Canephron

Mantener fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 30ºC.

Fecha de caducidad

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Canephron:

Los principios activos son: 18 mg de partes aéreas desecadas de Centaura menor (Centaurium erythraeaRafn); 18 mg de rizomas desecados de Levístico (Levisticum officinaleKoch); 18 mg de hojas desecadas de Romero (Rosmarinus officinalisL.).

Los demás componentes (excipientes) son: lactosa monohidrato (45 mg), jarabe de glucosa (1,086 mg), sacarosa (60,431 mg), carbonato cálcico, estearato magnésico, almidón de maíz, dextrina, cera glicomontanato, aceite de ricino vírgen, povidona (25, 30), laca shellac, dióxido de silicona, talco, óxido de hierro III (E 172), riboflavina (E 101), dióxido de titanio (E 171).
