VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS proporciona nutrientes a través de su flujo sanguíneo cuando usted no puede comer normalmente. Proporciona aminoácidos, que en su organismo serán empleados para formar proteínas (para crear y reparar músculos, órganos y otras estructuras corporales).

No use VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS:

  • si usted tiene defectos congénitos en el metabolismo de los aminoácidos
  • si usted tiene o ha padecido función hepática gravemente disminuida
  • si usted tiene o ha padecido función renal disminuida (uremia) y no está sometido a diálisis o a cualquier otra forma de tratamiento de filtración sanguínea

Antes de administrarle este medicamento su médico debe conocer si usted sufre de:

3. Cómo usar VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS

Este medicamento le será administrado mediante perfusión (gotero intravenoso) en una vena.

La cantidad y la velocidad de perfusión dependerán de sus necesidades.

Su doctor decidirá la dosis correcta que usted debe recibir.

Adultos y personas de edad avanzada

La dosis usual de VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS en adultos para el mantenimiento de la masa proteica corporal depende de la situación clínica del paciente (estado nutricional y grado de estrés metabólico). Los requerimientos son 0,10-0,15 g nitrógeno/kg pc/día (sin estrés metabólico o con estrés metabólico ligero y estado nutricional normal), 0,15-0,20 g nitrógeno/kg pc/día (estrés metabólico moderado con o sin malnutrición) y hasta 0,20-0,25 g nitrógeno/kg pc/día (catabolismo grave como en quemaduras, sepsis y trauma). El rango de dosis de 0,10-0,25 g nitrógeno/kg pc/día, corresponde a 7-18 ml de VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS/kg pc/día. En pacientes obesos, la dosis debe basarse en el peso ideal estimado.

Dependiendo de los requerimientos del paciente, pueden perfundirse intravenosamente hasta 1000 ml de VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS durante 24 horas. En pacientes con requerimientos de aminoácidos marcadamente incrementados, puede utilizarse Vamin 18 sin electrolitos.

VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS debe ser perfundido lentamente, a una velocidad no superior a 1000 ml en 8 horas, correspondiente a aproximadamente 2 ml por minuto..

Si usa más VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS del que debe

Es muy improbable que usted reciba más dosis de la que debe, ya que su médico o enfermera le controlarán durante el tratamiento. Sin embargo, si usted piensa que ha recibido demasiado VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS, informe a su médico o enfermera inmediatamente.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Pueden observarse los siguientes efectos adversos si la perfusión es administrada demasiado rápidamente:

  • malestar
  • sudoración
  • enrojecimiento

Otros efectos adversos incluyen:

5. Conservación de VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la etiqueta después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes indicado.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 25°C

No congelar.

El personal sanitario es el responsable de la correcta conservación, utilización y administración de VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS.

Utilizar VAMIN 14 SIN ELECTROLITOS únicamente si la solución es transparente, libre de partículas y con el envase intacto.
