1. Qué es Alergoliber y para qué se utiliza

Alergoliber contiene el principio activo rupatadina, que es un antihistamínico.

Alergoliber solución oral está indicado para el alivio de los síntomas de la rinitis alérgica tales como estornudos, secreción nasal, congestión nasal, picor de nariz y ojos en niños de 2 a 11 años.

Alergoliber también está indicado para el alivio de los síntomas asociados a la urticaria (erupción alérgica de la piel) como son el picor y las ronchas cutáneas (enrojecimiento e hinchazón de la piel) en niños de 2 a 11 años.

2. Que necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Alergoliber

No tome Alergoliber:

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a rupatadina o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Alergoliber.

Si padece insuficiencia renal o hepática, consulte a su médico. El uso de Alergoliber no está actualmente recomendado en pacientes con insuficiencia renal o hepática.

Si usted tiene los niveles de potasio en sangre bajos y/o si usted tiene un cierto patrón anormal de los latidos del corazón (prolongación conocida del intervalo QTc en el ECG) que puede ocurrir en determinadas enfermedades del corazón, consulte con su médico.

Niños

Este medicamento no debe utilizarse en niños menores de 2 años o de peso inferior a 10 kg.

Otros medicamentos y Alergoliber

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o podría tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento.

Si está tomando Alergoliber, no tome medicamentos que contengan ketoconazol (medicamento para infecciones fúngicas) o eritromicina (medicamento para infecciones bacterianas).

Si está tomando medicamentos depresores del sistema nervioso central, medicamentos con estatinas (medicamentos utilizados para tratar los niveles altos de colesterol) o midazolam (medicamento utilizado para la sedación de corta duración), consulte con su médico antes de tomar Alergoliber.

Toma de Alergoliber con alimentos, bebidas y alcohol

Alergoliber se puede tomar con o sin alimentos.

No debe tomar Alergoliber en combinación con zumo de pomelo debido a que puede aumentar el nivel de rupatadina en su organismo.

Alergoliber a la dosis de 10 mg, no incrementa la somnolencia producida por el alcohol.

Embarazo y lactancia

No utilice Alergoliber en el embarazo ni en la lactancia, salvo que su médico lo considere indispensable.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

No es de esperar que la dosis recomendada de Alergoliber tenga un efecto sobre su capacidad de conducir vehículos o manejar maquinaria. No obstante, cuando usted utilice Alergoliber por primera vez, debe tener la precaución de observar cómo puede afectarle el tratamiento antes de conducir o utilizar máquinas.

Alergoliber contiene sacarosa, parahidroxibenzoato de metilo y propilenglicol.

Si su médico la ha indicado que padece una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares, consulte a su médico antes de tomar este medicamento. Puede producir caries en los dientes.

Puede producir reacciones alérgicas (posiblemente retardadas) porque contiene parahidroxibenzoato de metilo.

Este medicamento contiene 200 mg de propilenglicol en cada ml

Si su hijo tiene menos de 5 años, hable con su médico o farmacéutico antes de administrarle este medicamento, en particular si usa otros medicamentos que contienen propilenglicol o alcohol.

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, no tome este medicamento a menos que se lo recomiende su médico. Su médico puede realizar controles adicionales mientras esté tomando este medicamento.

Si padece una enfermedad hepática o renal, no tome este medicamento a menos que se lo recomiende su médico. Su médico puede realizar controles adicionales mientras esté tomando este medicamento.

Este medicamento contiene menos de 23 mg de sodio (1 mmol) por ml, esto es, esencialmente “exento de sodio”.

3. Cómo tomar Alergoliber

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

Alergoliber solución oral se administra por vía oral.

Dosificación en niños con un peso igual o superior a 25 kg: 5 ml (5 mg de rupatadina) de solución oral una vez al día, administrado con o sin alimentos.

Dosificación en niños con un peso igual o superior a 10 kg e inferior a 25 kg: 2,5 ml (2,5 mg de rupatadina) de solución oral una vez al día, administrado con o sin alimentos.

Su médico le indicará la duración de su tratamiento con Alergoliber.

Instrucciones para su uso

  • Para abrir el frasco presionar el tapón y girar en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.
  • Introducir la jeringa en el orificio del tapón perforado e invertir el frasco.
  • Llenar la jeringa con la dosis prescrita.
  • Administrar directamente con la jeringa dosificadora.
  • Lavar la jeringa después de cada uso.

Si toma más Alergoliber del que debe

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 915 620 420, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó tomar Alergoliber

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Alergoliber solución oral puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Los efectos adversos frecuentes (pueden afectar hasta 1 de cada 10 pacientes) son dolor de cabeza y somnolencia.

Los efectos adversos poco frecuentes (pueden afectar hasta 1 de cada 100 pacientes) son gripe, nasofaringitis, infecciones de las vías respiratorias altas, incremento de eosinófilos, disminución de neutrófilos, mareos, náuseas, eczema, sudores nocturnos y fatiga.

5. Conservación de Alergoliber

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Este medicamento no requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la caja y en el frasco después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica. La caducidad del medicamento tras su primera apertura es la misma que la indicada en la caja y en la etiqueta del frasco.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Alergoliber

  • El principio activo es rupatadina. Cada ml contiene 1 mg de rupatadina (como fumarato).
  • Los demás componentes son: propilenglicol (E-1520), ácido cítrico anhidro, fosfato disódico anhidro, sacarina sódica, sacarosa, parahidroxibenzoato de metilo (E-218), amarillo de quinoleína (E-104), aroma de plátano y agua purificada. Ver sección 2 “Alergoliber contiene sacarosa, parahidroxibenzoato de metilo y propilenglicol”.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase:

Alergoliber es una solución transparente de color amarillo.

Alergoliber está disponible en frascos de plástico topacio provisto con obturador perforado incorporado y con tapón a prueba de niños. Cada envase contiene un frasco con 120 ml de solución oral e incluye una jeringa de uso oral de 5 ml graduada a 0,25 ml.
