1. Qué es Acetilcisteína Pensa y para qué se utiliza

Acetilcisteína pertenece al grupo de medicamentos denominados mucolíticos.

Acetilcisteína Pensa se utiliza para fluidificar las secreciones bronquiales excesivas y/o espesas.

Está indicado en el tratamiento de apoyo de los procesos respiratorios que cursan con hipersecreción mucosa excesiva o espesa tales como:

  • bronquitis (inflamación de los bronquios) aguda y crónica,
  • enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC),
  • enfisema (inflamación de los alveolos de los pulmones, que disminuyen la función respiratoria),
  • atelectasia (colapso de una región pulmonar o colapso masivo de uno o ambos pulmones) debida a obstrucción mucosa, complicaciones de la fibrosis quística y otras patologías relacionadas.

Su médico le indicará la duración del tratamiento con Acetilcisteína Pensa. No suspenda el tratamiento antes ya que si lo hace no alcanzará el efecto deseado.

Adultos y niños mayores de 7 años: La posología media recomendada es de 600 mg de acetilcisteína al día, por vía oral, y en una toma diaria de 600 mg.

La posología media recomendada para la acetilcisteína en estos casos es la siguiente:

Adultos y niños mayores de 7 años: de 200 a 400 mg de acetilcisteína cada 8 horas.

Niños de 2 a 7 años: 200 mg de acetilcisteína cada 8 horas.

Forma de administración

Los comprimidos de Acetilcisteína Pensa son para administración por vía oral introduciendo el comprimido en un vaso con un poco de agua. Se obtiene así una solución de sabor agradable que se puede beber directamente del vaso.

Si toma más cantidad de Acetilcisteína Pensa del que debiera

En caso de sobredosis o ingesta accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20 (indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida).

Si olvidó tomar Acetilcisteína Pensa

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas. En caso de olvido de una dosis espere a la siguiente.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Acetilcisteína Pensa puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Ocasionalmente han aparecido efectos adversos, de carácter leve y transitorio, siendo los más frecuentes los trastornos del estómago y del intestino (náuseas, vómitos y diarreas).

Raramente se presentan reacciones alérgicas, acompañadas de urticaria y dificultad para respirar (broncoespasmos, broncoconstricción), caso en el que se recomienda interrumpir el tratamiento y consultar al médico.

5. Conservación de Acetilcisteína Pensa

Mantener Acetilcisteína Pensa fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 30ºC. Conservar en su envase original.

No utilice Acetilcisteína Pensa después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de Acetilcisteína Pensa

El principio activo es acetilcisteína. Cada comprimido contiene 600 mg de acetilcisteína. Los demás componentes son: ácido cítrico anhidro, ácido ascórbico, hidrógenocarbonato de sodio, carbonato de sodio anhidro, lactosa anhidra, manitol (E-421), aroma de limón, ciclamato de sodio, sacarina sódica, citrato de sodio dihidrato.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

Acetilcisteína Pensa 600 se presenta en forma de comprimidos efervescentes redondos, blancos, con una superficie sin defectos, y con una ranura en una cara. Tubo con 20 comprimidos efervescentes. Los tubos son de polipropileno, cerrado con un tapón de polietileno relleno de un agente desecante de tamizado molecular puro.
