2. QUÉ NECESITA SABER ANTES DE USAR ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI

No use ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI:

  • si es alérgico (hipersensible) al acetato sódico o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de

Acetato sódico 1M Fresenius Kabi.

  • si padece de enfermedad grave de riñón.
  • si padece de enfermedad grave de hígado (cirrosis).
  • si padece de enfermedad grave de corazón y otras situaciones en las que coexistan edemas (retención de líquidos) y/o retención de sodio.
  • si padece de problemas en la producción de orina.

Advertencias y precauciones

El acetato sódico debe administrarse siempre lentamente para evitar la sobrecarga de sodio y la retención de líquidos. Debe utilizarse con mucha precaución en pacientes con trastornos como la alcalosis metabólica o respiratoria, lo mismo que en situaciones que cursan con elevación del acetato o con dificultades para su utilización, como la insuficiencia hepática severa.

Su administración intravenosa puede dar lugar a sobrecarga hídrica y/o de solutos.

Debe tenerse cuidado en la administración de líquidos especialmente con otras soluciones que contengan sodio

Uso de otros medicamentos:

3. Cómo USAR ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI:

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de Acetato sódico 1M Fresenius Kabi indicadas por su médico. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

Su médico indicará al personal sanitario la dosis más adecuada para sus necesidades. La dosis normal en nutrición parenteral es de hasta 160 mmol/día de acetato sódico.

Su médico le indicará la duración de su tratamiento con ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI. Por favor no suspenda el tratamiento.

Uso en niños

La dosis normal en recién nacidos de menos de 32 semanas de gestación es de 3 mmol/kg/día

Si usa más ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI del que debe:

Los síntomas en caso de sobredosis se resumen en el cuadro de exceso de sodio en sangre descrito en el siguiente apartado “POSIBLES EFECTOS ADVERSOS”. Su médico tomará las medidas adecuadas corrigiendo la situación metabólica junto con medidas de soporte vital.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Los principales efectos adversos, debidos a una administración excesiva, consistirían en un exceso de sodio en la sangre manifestada por náuseas, vómitos, diarrea, calambres abdominales, sed, reducción en la secreción salival y lacrimal, sudor excesivo, fiebre, taquicardia, hipertensión, fallo renal, edema pulmonar y periférico, parada respiratoria, cefalea, vértigo, inquietud, debilidad, temblor muscular y rigidez, convulsiones, coma y muerte.

Puede haber en administración crónica, retención de líquidos con hinchazón de pies, aumento de peso y edemas.

Si considera que alguno de los efectos adversos que sufre es grave o si aprecia cualquier efecto adverso no mencionado en este prospecto, informe a su médico o farmacéutico.

5. Conservación de ACETATO SÓDICO 1M FRESENIUS KABI

Este medicamento no requiere ninguna temperatura especial de conservación. No refrigerar. Conservar en el embalaje original para protegerlo de la luz.

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

Úsese únicamente si la solución está clara. Si no se usa todo el contenido, deséchese el resto.

No utilice Acetato sódico 1M Fresenius Kabi después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

6. CONTENIDO DEL ENVASE E INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL

Composición de Acetato sódico 1M Fresenius Kabi

  • El principio activo es: acetato de sodio. Cada ml de solución contiene 136,1 mg de acetato de

sodio (electrolitos: sodio: 1 mEq, acetato: 1 mEq).

  • Los demás componentes son: agua para preparaciones inyectables.

Acetato sódico 1M Fresenius Kabi es una solución para perfusión intravenosa, transparente, incolora y sin partículas visibles, contenida en ampollas de vidrio de 10 ml.

La solución de acetato sódico debe ser administrada en infusión i.v. previa dilución como mínimo en 50 ml de una solución I.V. compatible y a reserva de las dosis indicadas, se deberá tener en cuenta para administraciones sucesivas, la evolución de los niveles séricos de sodio.

La administración conjunta, en la misma jeringa, de acetato sódico, es compatible con la cimetidina, durante 48 horas a temperatura ambiente, así como con enalapril, esmolol, labetalol y ondansetrón.
