1. Qué es Tilavist y para qué se utiliza

Tilavist es un colirio que contiene el principio activo nedocromilo sódico, que inhibe la degranulación de los mastocitos sensibilizados, impidiendo la liberación de histamina y otros mediadores de la inflamación. Este medicamento está indicado en adultos y niños mayores de 6 años para el tratamiento sintomático de afecciones oculares de naturaleza alérgica, tales como la conjuntivitis alérgica estacional, conjuntivitis alérgica perenne y queratoconjuntivitis vernal (inflamación de la córnea y la conjuntiva).

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Tilavist

No use Tilavist

  • si es alérgico (hipersensible) a nedocromilo sódico o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a usar Tilavist.

Antes de usar este medicamento informe a su médico:

  • si utiliza lentes de contacto blandas (ver la sección “Tilavist contiene cloruro de benzalconio”).

Niños

No se recomienda el uso de este medicamento en niños menores de 6 años.

Otros medicamentos y Tilavist

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando, ha utilizado recientemente o pudiera tener que utilizar cualquier otro medicamento.

La administración conjunta de Tilavist con otra solución que contenga iones metálicos (nitrato de plata, sulfato de zinc o sales de calcio o magnesio) puede provocar la formación de sales insolubles que inducirían precipitados. Para evitarlo, debe administrarse los dos preparados con un intervalo mínimo de 5 minutos.

Embarazo y lactancia

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar este medicamento.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

Puede notar visión borrosa inmediatamente después de la aplicación de Tilavist. No conduzca ni utilice máquinas hasta que haya desaparecido este efecto.

Tilavist contiene cloruro de benzalconio

Este medicamento contiene 0,1 mg de cloruro de benzalconio en cada ml de solución.

El cloruro de benzalconio se puede absorber por las lentes de contacto blandas alterando su color. Retirar las lentes de contacto antes de usar este medicamento y esperar 15 minutos antes de volver a colocarlas.

El cloruro de benzalconio puede causar irritación ocular, especialmente si padece de ojo seco u otras enfermedades de la córnea (capa transparente de la zona frontal del ojo). Consulte a su médico si siente una sensación extraña, escozor o dolor en el ojo después de usar este medicamento.

3. Cómo usar Tilavist

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

Conjuntivitis alérgica estacional y perenne

Adultos y niños mayores de 6 años

La dosis recomendada es de una gota en el ojo o en los ojos afectados dos veces al día. Si su médico lo considera necesario, podría aumentar la dosis a una gota en cada ojo hasta cuatro veces al día.

Queratoconjuntivis vernal

Adultos y niños mayores de 6 años

La dosis recomendada es de una gota en el ojo o en los ojos afectados cuatro veces al día.

Tenga cuidado al apretar el frasco, de forma que únicamente se introduzca una gota en el ojo afectado.

Uso en niños

No se recomienda la administración de este medicamento a niños menores de 6 años.

Este medicamento es solo para uso en los ojos (vía oftálmica).

Instrucciones de uso

Para administrar Tilavist de una manera apropiada debe seguir los siguientes pasos:

  1. Si lleva lentes de contacto, quíteselas antes de aplicarse Tilavist. No se las vuelva a poner hasta que hayan transcurrido 15 minutos desde la aplicación de Tilavist.
  2. Lávese las manos y colóquese delante de un espejo.

  2. Incline la cabeza hacia atrás. Utilizando el dedo, separe con suavidad el párpado inferior del ojo que debe ser tratado.

  1. Coloque la punta del frasco cerca del ojo. Para ayudar a prevenir infecciones, evite que la punta del envase toque el ojo, ni ninguna otra superficie.
  2. Apriete el frasco con cuidado de forma que únicamente se introduzca una gota en el ojo. Retire el dedo del párpado inferior.

Si está utilizando otros medicamentos oftálmicos, espere al menos 5 minutos entre la administración de este medicamento y los otros medicamentos oftálmicos. Las pomadas oftálmicas deben administrarse en último lugar.

Si usa más Tilavist del que debe

Tenga cuidado al apretar el frasco, de forma que únicamente se introduzca una gota en el ojo afectado. Si se aplica demasiadas gotas en el ojo, puede sentir una ligera irritación en él.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono: 91 562 04 20.

Si olvidó usar Tilavist

Si olvidó aplicarse una dosis, aplíquesela tan pronto como lo recuerde. Pero si está próximo el momento de aplicarse la siguiente dosis, debe omitir la dosis olvidada y continuar su rutina normal.

No se aplique una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Si interrumpe el tratamiento con Tilavist

Su médico le indicará la duración del tratamiento. Debe utilizar regularmente el medicamento para asegurar el control óptimo de los síntomas. No interrumpa el tratamiento sin consultar antes con su médico.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

5. Conservación de Tilavist

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Conservar por debajo de 25 ºC. Conservar el frasco en el embalaje exterior para protegerlo de la luz.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Desechar el frasco 28 días después de abrirlo por primera vez, incluso si queda producto en su interior.

No utilice tilavist si observa que el precinto del frasco está roto antes del primer uso.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Tilavist

  • El principio activo es nedocromilo sódico. 1 ml de solución contiene 20 mg de nedocromilo sódico. Una gota de solución contiene aproximadamente 1 mg de nedocromilo sódico.
  • Los demás componentes son cloruro de benzalconio, edetato sódico, cloruro de sodio y agua purificada.

Tilavist se presenta en un frasco estéril con cuentagotas y provisto de un precinto. Cada frasco de Tilavist contiene 5 ml de colirio en solución.
