1. Qué es SUPOSITORIOS DE GLICERINA DR. TORRENTS NIÑOS y para qué se utiliza

El glicerol, principio activo de este medicamento es un laxante, que se administra por vía rectal.

El efecto laxante se consigue por la capacidad del glicerol de ablandar las heces que, junto a una ligera acción irritante local, consigue estimular los movimientos del intestino.

Está indicado para el alivio local sintomático del estreñimiento transitorio y ocasional para niños de 2 a 12 años.

2. ANTES DE USAR SUPOSITORIOS DE GLICERINA DR. TORRENTS NIÑOS

No use Supositorios Glicerina Dr. Torrents Niños:

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) al glicerol o a cualquiera de los demás componentes (excipientes) del medicamento.
  • Si padece alguna enfermedad anorectal, rectocolitis hemorrágica (un tipo de inflamación crónica del intestino) y hemorroides inflamadas.
  • Si tiene retortijones, cólicos, náuseas, vómitos u otros signos de apendicitis, obstrucción intestinal, enfermedades intestinales inflamatorias agudas o, en general, cualquier situación de dolor abdominal, sin conocer la causa que lo produce.
  • En niños menores de 2 años.

Tenga especial cuidado con Supositorios Glicerina Dr. Torrents Niños:

  • En caso de la aparición de sangre en heces, irritación, dolor o que no mejora debe interrumpir el tratamiento y consultar al médico.
  • No use este medicamento más de 7 días seguidos, salvo que su médico se lo indique.
  • Este medicamento se utilizará únicamente bajo estricto control médico, en pacientes con cuadros patológicos graves, especialmente cardiovasculares (relativas al corazón o a los vasos sanguíneos).

3. Cómo USAR SUPOSITORIOS GLICERINA DR. TORRENTS NIÑOS

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de Supositorios de Glicerina Dr. Torrents Niños indicadas por su médico. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

La dosis normal es:

Niños de 2 a 12 años

Administrar 1 supositorio al día, cuando sea necesario, o según la prescripción del médico.

Forma de administración:

El supositorio se administra por vía rectal.

Tras sacar el supositorio del frasco, introduzca el supositorio profundamente en el recto. Reprima la evacuación lo máximo posible con el fin de que el medicamento pueda ejercer su acción.

Si en el momento de la administración nota resistencia, debe interrumpir la misma, ya que puede resultar perjudicial y dañina.

No se debe utilizar el medicamento durante más de 7 días seguidos. Si los síntomas no mejoran debe suspender el tratamiento y consultar al médico.

Si estima que la acción de Supositorios Glicerina Dr. Torrents Niños es demasiado fuerte o débil, comuníqueselo a su médico o farmacéutico.

El uso abusivo y prolongado de este medicamento puede dar lugar a un síndrome de “colon irritable” (síntomas o molestias como alternancia del estreñimiento y de la diarrea, espasmos intestinales, hinchazón, náuseas y gases)

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Supositorios Glicerina Dr. Torrents puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Durante el período de utilización de Glicerol solución rectal como laxante, se han observado los siguientes efectos adversos cuya frecuencia no se ha podido establecer con exactitud: picor, dolor e irritación del ano.

Si considera que alguno de los efectos adversos que sufre es grave o si aprecia cualquier efecto adverso no mencionado en este prospecto, informe a su médico o farmacéutico.

5. Conservación de SUPOSITORIOS DE GLICERINA DR. TORRENTS NIÑOS

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el punto sigre de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.
