1. Qué es Soñodor difenhidramina y para qué se utiliza

Soñodor difenhidramina 50 mg comprimidos está indicado en adultos en el tratamiento sintomático del insomnio ocasional, particularmente cuando existe dificultad para conciliar el sueño, como en situaciones de intranquilidad, en frecuentes interrupciones durante el sueño o despertar temprano por la mañana.

Debe consultar a un médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 7 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Soñodor difenhidramina

No tome Soñodor difenhidramina:

  • si es alérgico a difenhidramina hidrocloruro o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6),
  • si padece asma,
  • si padece dificultad para respirar,
  • si padece enfisema pulmonar crónico (enfermedad pulmonar grave),
  • si padece glaucoma (aumento de la presión intraocular),
  • si padece dificultad para orinar debido a problemas de próstata,
  • si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Soñodor difenhidramina.

Se recomienda la administración del medicamento únicamente antes de acostarse. No deberá ser administrado durante un periodo superior a 7 días, ni a menores de 18 años, si no es con conocimiento o recomendación del médico, ya que el insomnio puede ser síntoma de otra enfermedad más importante. Si aparece somnolencia a la mañana siguiente, disminuir la dosis.

Niños y adolescentes

3. Cómo tomar Soñodor difenhidramina

Soñodor difenhidramina se administra por vía oral. Tragar los comprimidos con ayuda de algún líquido, 20-30 minutos antes de acostarse.

Uso en niños y adolescentes

  • Sólo podrá ser utilizado en adolescentes entre 12 y 18 años bajo recomendación médica.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Tras la administración de difenhidramina hidrocloruro, se han registrado las siguientes reacciones adversas cuya frecuencia no se puede establecer con exactitud:

Ocasionalmente, puede presentarse diarrea, anorexia (falta de apetito), molestias o dolores de estómago, estreñimiento, dificultad para orinar, vértigo, confusión, sequedad de boca y visión borrosa.

Raramente se han descrito temblores, rash cutáneo (erupción en la piel) y fotosensibilidad.

Excepcionalmente se han descrito determinadas alteraciones de la sangre tales como leucopenia, trombocitopenia y anemia hemolítica.

En la mayoría de los casos los efectos adversos referidos han sido leves y no han requerido la suspensión del tratamiento.

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica después de CAD.
