1. Qué es roalax Tisana y para qué se utiliza

roalax Tisana es un laxante estimulante vegetal.

Está indicado en adultos y niños mayores de 12 años para el tratamiento de corta duración del estreñimiento ocasional.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar roalax Tisana

No tome roalax Tisana:

Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a los principios activos o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento. (incluidos en la sección 6)

Si padece íleo, apendicitis, enfermedades intestinales inflamatorias crónicas como p.ej. Enfermedad de Crohn o Colitis ulcerosa; en caso de padecer dolores abdominales de causa desconocida, así como en casos de deshidratación grave con pérdidas de agua y sal.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar roalax Tisana.

Una ingesta de laxantes estimulantes superior al breve período de tiempo de aplicación previsto puede causar un empeoramiento del estreñimiento. Este preparado debería usarse sólo cuando no se ha logrado un efecto terapéutico con un cambio de los hábitos alimentarios o con preparados laxantes incrementadores del bolo intestinal.

Niños

Niños menores de 12 años no pueden tomar roalax Tisana.

Uso de roalax Tisana con otros medicamentos:

Comunique a su médico o farmacéutico que está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o podría tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento.

El uso prolongado de laxantes puede provocar una disminución de los niveles de potasio que pueden aumentar la acción de otros medicamentos que se administran para el corazón (antiarrítmicos, diuréticos, corticosteroides y/o raíz de regaliz).

La acción de este medicamento sobre el tránsito intestinal podría modificar los niveles de otros medicamentos que se tomarán al mismo tiempo por vía oral.

Embarazo, lactancia y fertilidad:

3. Cómo tomar roalax Tisana

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico.

roalax Tisanaes un medicamento que se toma por vía oral.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos y adolescentes mayores de 12 años: Una vez al día tomar de ½ a 1 cuchara dosificadora de roalax Tisana. La dosis correcta individual es la mínima que se requiere para obtener una evacuación.

La cuchara dosificadora es de 5 ml (que corresponden a 1,3 g de producto) y tiene una marca que indica la mitad de su capacidad (2,5 ml).

La dosis máxima diaria no debe superar los 30 mg de derivados de hidroxiantraceno, es decir, 1 cuchara dosificadora (1,3 g de polvo) de roalax Tisana.

Modo de uso:

Verter agua hirviendo en un vaso o taza ½ a 1 cuchara dosificadora de roalax Tisana.

El medicamento suele tardar de 8 a 12 horas en producir su acción laxante, por ello se recomienda una toma única por la noche, para que el efecto se produzca por la mañana.

Duración del tratamiento:

Los laxantes estimulantes no deben tomarse sin indicación del médico durante un largo período de tiempo (superior a 6 días).

En general, es suficiente tomar el medicamento 2 ó 3 veces en una semana para obtener el efecto deseado.

Si después de 4 días de tratamiento no se ha producido defecación, debe suspenderse el tratamiento inmediatamente y consultar a su médico.

Si estima que la acción de roalax Tisanaes demasiado fuerte o débil, comuníqueselo a su médico o farmacéutico.

Si toma más roalax Tisana del que debiera:

La ingestión de dosis mucho mayores a las recomendadas del producto puede provocar calambres intestinales y diarrea grave con la consiguiente pérdida de agua y sal, así como posibles dolores gastrointestinales. Sin embargo, la posibilidad de intoxicación por el consumo de las tisanas es muy baja.

Si ha tomado más roalax Tisanade lo que debe, consulte a su médico, farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad tomada.

Si olvidó tomar roalax Tisana:

No tome una dosis doble para compensar la dosis olvidada sino que continúe con la toma como se lo ha indicado su médico o como se describe en el prospecto.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, roalax Tisana puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

De manera ocasional pueden producirse dolores en el vientre y espasmos, meteorismo (presencia de gas en el vientre), náuseas, deposiciones mucosas y/o diarreas, sarpullidos en la piel, reacciones alérgicas. Puede aparecer una coloración de la orina amarillo-rojo-marrón, aunque esto no tiene importancia clínica. Todos estos síntomas desaparecen al suspender el tratamiento.

Si experimenta efectos adversos, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico, incluso si se trata de efectos adversos que no aparecen en este prospecto.

5. Conservación de roalax Tisana

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice roalax Tisana después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Caducidad depués de la apertura del envase: 6 meses

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. Los demás componentes son excipientes: Flores de Hibisco cortadas, Hojas de Menta cortadas, Raíz de regaliz cortada.
