1. Qué es Riniwel y para qué se utiliza

Riniwel contiene fexofenadina hidrocloruro que es un antihistamínico que no produce somnolencia.

Fexofenadina se utiliza en adultos y adolescentes a partir de 12 años para aliviar los síntomas asociados con la rinitis alérgica (por ejemplo la fiebre del heno), como son los estornudos, picores, goteo o congestión nasal y picor, enrojecimiento y lagrimeo de ojos.

Debe consultar a un médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 7 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Riniwel

No tome Riniwel:

  • Si es alérgico a fexofenadina o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Riniwel si:

Otros medicamentos y Riniwel

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o podría tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento.

Si está tomando apalutamida (un medicamento para tratar el cáncer de próstata), ya que el efecto de la fexofenadina puede disminuir.

Es especialmente importante que hable con su médico antes de que tome fexofenadina si usted está tomando también cualquiera de los siguientes medicamentos:

  • un antibiótico utilizado para tratar algunas infecciones bacterianas (eritromicina)
  • un antifúngico utilizado para tratar infecciones fúngicas (ketoconazol).

3. Cómo tomar Riniwel

Adultos y niños a partir de 12 años

La dosis recomendada es un comprimido (120 mg) al día.

Tome el comprimido con agua antes de una comida.

Este medicamento comienza a aliviar sus síntomas en 1 hora y dura 24 horas.

Si toma más Riniwel del que debe

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20 indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Los síntomas de una sobredosis en adultos son mareos, somnolencia, fatiga y boca seca.

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

5. Conservación de Riniwel

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Este medicamento no requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia.
