1. Qué es Resolor y para qué se utiliza

Resolor contiene el principio activo prucaloprida.

Resolor pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos que potencian la motilidad intestinal (procinéticos gastrointestinales). Actúa sobre la pared muscular del intestino, ayudando a restaurar el funcionamiento normal del mismo. Resolor se utiliza para el tratamiento del estreñimiento crónico en adultos en los que los laxantes no funcionan del todo.

No se debe utilizar en niños ni adolescentes menores de 18 años.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Resolor

No tome Resolor:

  • si es alérgico a la prucaloprida o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6),
  • si está en diálisis renal,
  • si padece perforación u obstrucción de la pared intestinal, si padece inflamación grave del tracto intestinal, como por ejemplo enfermedad de Crohn, colitis ulcerosa o megarrecto/megacolon tóxico.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico antes de empezar a tomar Resolor.

Tenga especial cuidado con Resolor e informe a su médico:

  • si padece enfermedad renal grave,
  • si padece enfermedad del hígado grave,
  • si está actualmente bajo supervisión médica debido a un problema médico grave como enfermedad pulmonar o cardiaca, problemas de salud mental o del sistema nervioso, cáncer, SIDA o un trastorno hormonal.

Embarazo y lactancia

3. Cómo tomar Resolor

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico. Tome Resolor cada día durante el tiempo indicado por su médico.

Es posible que su médico desee volver a evaluar su estado y el beneficio de seguir con el tratamiento una vez transcurridas las primeras 4 semanas y posteriormente a intervalos regulares.

La dosis recomendada de Resolor en la mayoría de los pacientes es de un comprimido de 2 mg una vez al día.

Si usted tiene más de 65 años o tiene una enfermedad de hígado grave, la dosis inicial es de un comprimido de 1 mg una vez al día, que su médico podrá aumentar a 2 mg al día si lo considera necesario.

Su médico también podrá recomendar una dosis inferior de un comprimido de 1 mg al día si usted padece enfermedad renal grave.

No obtendrá mejores resultados tomando dosis superiores a las recomendadas.

Resolor solo debe utilizarse en adultos y no debe usarse en niños o adolescentes menores de 18 años.

Si toma más Resolor del que debe

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Resolor puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran. Los efectos adversos ocurren fundamentalmente al inicio del tratamiento y suelen desaparecer al cabo de unos días continuando el tratamiento.

Los siguientes efectos adversos se han comunicado con mucha frecuencia (pueden afectar a más de 1 de cada 10 personas): dolor de cabeza, ganas de vomitar, diarrea y dolor abdominal.

Los siguientes efectos adversos se han comunicado con frecuencia (pueden afectar hasta 1 de cada 10 personas): disminución del apetito, mareos, vómitos, alteración en la digestión (dispepsia), flatulencia, ruidos intestinales anormales, cansancio.

Asimismo se han observado los siguientes efectos adversos poco frecuentes (pueden afectar hasta 1 de cada 100 personas): temblores, palpitaciones, sangrado rectal, aumento en la frecuencia de la micción (polaquiuria: aumento en la frecuencia de orinar), fiebre y malestar general. Consulte a su médico en caso de que ocurran palpitaciones.

5. Conservación de Resolor

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el blíster y en la caja después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Conservar en el blíster original para protegerlo de la humedad.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Resolor

El principio activo es prucaloprida.

Un comprimido recubierto con película de Resolor 1 mg contiene 1 mg de prucaloprida (como succinato).

Un comprimido recubierto con película de Resolor 2 mg contiene 2 mg de prucaloprida (como succinato).

Los demás componentes son:

Lactosa monohidrato (ver sección 2), celulosa microcristalina, dióxido de silice coloidal, estearato magnésico, hipromelosa, triacetin, dióxido de titanio (E171), macrogol. El comprimido de 2 mg también contiene óxido de hierro rojo (E172), óxido de hierro amarillo (E172), y laca de aluminio carmín índigo (E132).

Resolor comprimidos recubiertos con película de 1 mg son comprimidos de color blanco a blanquecino, redondos, marcados con “PRU 1” en una de las caras.
