1. Qué es Palonosetrón Qilu y para qué se utiliza

Palonosetrón pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos conocidos como antagonistas de la serotonina (5-HT3), que poseen la capacidad de bloquear la acción del compuesto químico serotonina (que puede provocar náuseas y vómitos).

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Palonosetrón Qilu

No usePalonosetrón Qilu:

  • si es alérgico a palonosetrón o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a usar palonosetrón:

  • Si padece una obstrucción intestinal aguda o presenta antecedentes de estreñimiento de repetición.
  • Si está usando palonosetrón además de otros medicamentos que puedan provocar un ritmo cardíaco anómalo, como amiodarona, nicardipina, quinidina, moxifloxacino, eritromicina, haloperidol, clorpromacina, quetiapina, tioridacina o domperidona.
  • Si presenta antecedentes personales o familiares de alteraciones del ritmo cardíaco (prolongación del intervalo QT).
  • Si padece otra enfermedad del corazón.
  • Si padece un desequilibrio de determinados minerales de la sangre, como potasio y magnesio, que no haya sido tratado.

3. Cómo usar Palonosetrón Qilu

Normalmente, un médico o una enfermera le inyectarán palonosetrón unos 30 minutos antes de comenzar la quimioterapia.

Adultos

La dosis recomendada de palonosetrón es de 250 microgramos, administrada mediante una inyección rápida en una vena.

Niños y adolescentes (con edades comprendidas entre 1 mes y 17 años)

El médico decidirá la dosis, según el peso corporal. No obstante, la dosis máxima es de 1500 microgramos.

El palonosetrón se administrará mediante una perfusión lenta en una vena.

5. Conservación de Palonosetrón Qilu

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el vial y la caja después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Conservar el vial en el embalaje exterior para protegerlo de la luz.

Para un solo uso. Se deberá desechar toda solución sobrante no empleada.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesite en el punto SIGRE de la farmacia o en cualquier otro sistema de recogida de residuos de medicamentos. En caso de duda, pregunte a su farmacéutico como deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición dePalonosetrón Qilu

  • El principio activo es palonosetrón (en forma de hidrocloruro).

Cada mililitro de solución contiene 50 microgramos de palonosetrón. Cada vial de 5 ml de solución contiene 250 microgramos de palonosetrón.

  • Los demás componentes son manitol, citrato sódico, ácido cítrico monohidrato y agua para preparaciones inyectables.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

Palonosetrón Qilu solución inyectable es una solución transparente e incolora y se presenta en una caja que contiene un vial de vidrio de tipo I, de 6 ml de volumen, con tapón de goma de bromobutilo y cierre hermético de aluminio y plástico de 20 mm de grosor, que contiene 5 ml de solución. Cada vial contiene una dosis.
