1. Qué es OFTALMOLOSA CUSÍ ANTIEDEMA y para qué se utiliza

Es una pomada para los ojos que contiene como principio activo cloruro de sodio. El cloruro de sodio se encuentra en una concentración hipertónica de modo que, en contacto con el epitelio corneal, produce la extracción de agua de la córnea. De esta manera ayuda a mantener la córnea sin inflamación.

Oftalmolosa Cusí Antiedema está indicado para reducir el edema corneal (acumulación de líquido en la córnea) que puede ser producido por diversas causas como queratopatía bullosa (pequeños bultos que se forman en la córnea), cirugía del/los ojo/s (sobre todo de la córnea) y distrofia hereditaria de la córnea o distrofia de Fuchs (trastornos en los que se acumula material anormal en la córnea).

Este medicamento puede producir reacciones alérgicas (posiblemente retardadas) porque contiene parahidroxibenzoato de metilo (E-218) y parahidroxibenzoato de propilo (E-216).

3. Cómo usar OFTALMOLOSA CUSÍ ANTIEDEMA

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos (incluidos pacientes de edad avanzada):

En general, aplicar 1 cm de pomada aproximadamente en el ojo(s) afectado(s) 1 o 2 veces al día.

El número de aplicaciones diarias y la duración del tratamiento podrán modificarse según criterio médico.

Recomendaciones de uso:

  • Lávese las manos y sitúese delante de un espejo.
  • Coja el tubo.
  • La pomada debe aplicarse dentro del ojo.
  • Acerque la punta del tubo a los ojos. Use el espejo si lo necesita.
  • Separe hacia abajo el párpado con un dedo limpio.
  • Aplíquese la pomada en la bolsa que se forma entre el párpado y el ojo.
  • Evite tocar los ojos, párpados, áreas circundantes u otras superficies con la punta del tubo.
  • Presione suavemente el tubo para que salga la pomada.
  • Es suficiente aplicar 1 cm de pomada aproximadamente en el saco conjuntival.
  • Cierre el ojo(s) durante unos segundos después de aplicarse la pomada.
  • Cierre bien el tubo después de su utilización.

Si está utilizando otros medicamentos oftálmicos, espere al menos 5 minutos entre la administración de esta pomada y los otros medicamentos oftálmicos. Las pomadas oftálmicas deben administrarse en último lugar.

Si usa más OFTALMOLOSA CUSÍ ANTIEDEMA del que debe

Una sobredosis en los ojos puede eliminarla lavando los ojos con agua templada. No se aplique más pomada hasta que vuelva a tocarle.

En caso de efectos adversos debidos a una sobredosis oftálmica, los síntomas pueden ser parecidos a las reacciones locales notificadas con el uso del medicamento (ver sección 4).

No son de esperar efectos tóxicos con el uso oftálmico de este medicamento ni en el caso de ingestión accidental del contenido de un tubo.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, Teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad utilizada.

Si olvidó usar OFTALMOLOSA CUSÍ ANTIEDEMA

No se aplique una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Aplíquese una única dosis tan pronto como se dé cuenta y continúe con la siguiente dosis que estaba prevista. Si ya es casi la hora de la siguiente dosis, no se aplique la dosis olvidada y continúe con la siguiente dosis de su régimen habitual.

5. Conservación de OFTALMOLOSA CUSÍ ANTIEDEMA

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el tubo y en la caja después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Para evitar infecciones, debe desechar el tubo 4 semanas después de haberlo abierto por primera vez.

Anote la fecha de apertura del tubo en el recuadro reservado para esta finalidad en la caja.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de OFTALMOLOSA CUSÍ ANTIEDEMA

  • El principio activo es cloruro de sodio. Un gramo de pomada oftálmica contiene 50 mg de cloruro de sodio (5%).
  • Los demás componentes son parahidroxibenzoato de metilo (E-218), parahidroxibenzoato de propilo (E-216), lanolina, parafina líquida, vaselina blanca y agua purificada.

Oftalmolosa Cusí Antiedema es una pomada oftálmica (para los ojos), homogénea y amarillenta. Se presenta en tubo de aluminio conteniendo 5 g de pomada.
