1. Qué es Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml y para qué se utiliza

Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml es un medicamento para uso cutáneo cuyo principio activo es clorhexidina digluconato.Clorhexidina digluconato es un antiséptico que se aplica sobre la piel.

Está indicado como antiséptico de heridas y quemaduras leves de la piel y como antiséptico del ombligo en recién nacidos.

Debe consultar a un médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 5 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml

No use Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml

  • Si es alérgico a clorhexidina digluconato o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • No utilice en ojos, ni oídos, ni en el interior de la boca u otras mucosas.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a usar este medicamento.

  • Este medicamento es exclusivamente de uso externo sobre la piel. No ingerir.
  • En caso de contacto accidental con oídos lave inmediatamente con abundante agua.
  • Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml no debe entrar en contacto con los ojos debido al riesgo de lesiones visuales. Si entra en contacto con los ojos, lávese inmediata y abundantemente con agua. En caso de irritación, enrojecimiento o dolor en los ojos, o alteraciones visuales, consulte a un médico inmediatamente.

Se han notificado casos graves de lesión persistente de la córnea (lesión de la superficie del ojo) que podría llegar a requerir un trasplante de córnea cuando productos similares han entrado accidentalmente en contacto con los ojos durante intervenciones quirúrgicas, en pacientes con anestesia general (sueño profundo inducido indoloro).

  • No debe utilizarse en caso de heridas profundas y extensas sin consultar al médico.
  • No debe aplicarse repetidamente, ni utilizarse sobre grandes superficies, con vendaje oclusivo (no transpirable), sobre la piel lesionada y en mucosas.
  • No debe utilizarse para la asepsia de zonas de punción o inyección, ni para la desinfección del material quirúrgico.

Niños

  • Utilice con cuidado en neonatos, especialmente en niños prematuros. Este medicamento puede causar quemaduras químicas en la piel.
  • Consulte con el médico antes de utilizar en niños menores de 30 meses.

Uso de Linitul Antiséptico10 mg/ml con otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando, ha utilizado recientemente o podría tener que utilizar cualquier otro medicamento.

  • Debe evitarse el empleo simultáneo o sucesivo de otros desinfectantes.
  • No debe usarse en combinación ni después de la aplicación de jabones aniónicos (jabones), ácidos, sales de metales pesados y yodo, por lo que debe aclararse bien la piel después de limpiarla.

Embarazo y lactancia

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar este medicamento.

Se desconoce si clorhexidina o alguno de sus metabolitos se excreta en la leche materna. Deberá tenerse en cuenta el posible riesgo de efectos sistémicos.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

La influencia de este medicamento sobre la capacidad para conducir o utilizar máquinas es nula o insignificante.

3. Cómo usar Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

No diluya este medicamento. Se recomienda limpiar y secar la herida antes de aplicar este medicamento. Aplique sobre la zona afectada, o bien sobre una gasa, una o dos veces al día. No realice más de dos aplicaciones diarias de producto.

Si usa más Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml del que debe

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Información para el profesional sanitario

En caso de ingestión accidental proceder al lavado gástrico y protección de la mucosa digestiva.

Se han descrito casos de hemólisis tras la ingestión de clorhexidina. En caso de hemólisis puede ser necesaria transfusión sanguínea.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Pueden producirse los siguientes efectos adversos (frecuencia no conocida: no puede estimarse a partir de los datos disponibles):

  • Quemaduras químicas en neonatos.

5. Conservación de Linitul Antiséptico 10 mg/ml

Este medicamento no requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Deseche el envase transcurridos 6 meses de su primera apertura, incluso si no está vacío. No debe guardarse para un uso posterior.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Angileptol son comprimidos para chupar, de color blanco, redondos y con la letra griega σ en una de las caras.

Se presenta en envases que contienen 15 y 30 comprimidos para chupar.
