2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml

No use Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a la levobupivacaína, a algún anestésico local similar o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (ver sección 6)
  • Si usted tiene la tensión sanguínea muy baja
  • Para aliviar el dolor administrándolo mediante inyección en el área alrededor del cuello uterino (cérvix) durante la fase temprana del parto (bloqueo paracervical).
  • Para anestesiar una parte del cuerpo inyectando Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml por vía intravenosa.

Advertencias y precauciones

Embarazo, lactancia y fertilidad

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o enfermero antes de utilizar este medicamento Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml no debe ser administrado para aliviar el dolor mediante inyección en el área alrededor del cuello uterino o cérvix durante el parto (lo que se conoce como bloqueo paracervical).

No se conoce los efectos de Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml en el feto durante las primeras fases del embarazo. Por lo tanto, Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml no debe ser utilizado durante los tres primeros meses de embarazo, a no ser que su médico lo considere necesario.

3. Cómo usar Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml

Su médico le administrará Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml en inyección a través de una aguja o a través de un pequeño tubo insertado en su espalda (epidural) Su médico y enfermero le vigilarán cuidadosamente mientras se le está administrando Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml.

Niños:

No se recomienda su uso en niños.

Si le administran más Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml del que debiera

Si se le administra más Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml del que debiera, podría sufrir entumecimiento de la lengua, mareo, visión borrosa, contracción muscular, dificultades severas para respirar (incluyendo paradas derespiración) e incluso convulsiones. Si usted nota cualquiera de estos síntomas, informe a su médico inmediatamente. A veces demasiado Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml también puede causar hipotensión, bradicardia o taquicardia y cambios de su ritmo cardíaco. Su médico puede tener que darle otros medicamentos para ayudar a parar estos síntomas.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

  • reacciones alérgicas (hipersensibles) reconocibles por tener la piel roja e irritada, estornudos, excesiva sudoración, aumento del ritmo cardiaco, desvanecimiento o hinchazón de la cara, labios, boca, lengua o garganta.
  • pérdida de la conciencia• somnolencia• visión borrosa• paro en la respiración• bloqueo cardíaco o paro cardíaco• hormigueo localizado• lengua adormecida• debilidad muscular o temblores• pérdida del control de la orina y las heces• parálisis• convulsiones• hormigueo, adormecimiento u otra sensación extraña• erección prolongada del pene, que puede ser dolorosa
  • trastornos nerviosos que pueden incluir cierre de ojos, pupilas pequeñas (centro negro del ojo), cuenca del ojo hundida, sudoración y/o enrojecimiento de un lado de la cara.

También se ha notificado como efectos adversos, la bradicardia, la taquicardia, latidos irregulares y los cambios del ritmo cardíaco que se hayan podido ver en un ECG (electrocardiograma).

En casos muy raros, algunos efectos adversos se vuelven permanentes.

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños

No utilice Levobupivacaína Altan después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de Cad. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

La solución se debe usar inmediatamente después de su apertura

No utilice Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml si observa partículas dentro de la solución

Composición de Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml solución para perfusión

El principio activo es levobupivacaína (como hidrocloruro)Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml: un ml contiene 1,25 mg de levobupivacaína (como hidrocloruro).

Los demás componentes son agua para inyección, cloruro de sodio, hidróxido de sodio y una pequeña cantidad de ácido clorhídrico.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml es una solución clara, transparente.

Cada bolsa de polipropileno o de poliolefina libre de PVC contiene 100 ml ó 200 ml de solución. Se suministra en envases de 5 bolsas y 24 bolsas de solución de 100 ml o en envases de 12 bolsas de solución de 200 ml.

Puede que sólo estén comercializados algunos tamaños de envase.

Instrucciones de uso / manipulación

Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml es sólo para un uso único y por vía epidural y no debe administrarse por vía intravenosa. No utilizar a menos que la solución sea clara y el envase esté intacto. Desechar cualquier solución no utilizada.

Como para todos los medicamentos de uso parenteral, la solución/dilución debe ser inspeccionada visualmente previa a su utilización. Sólo se deben utilizar las soluciones claras sin partículas visibles.

La experiencia sobre la seguridad del tratamiento con levobupivacaina durante más de 24 horas es limitada.

Caducidad después de la dilución con una solución de cloruro de sodio 0,9%:La estabilidad química y física en uso se ha demostrado para las dos dosis de levobupivacaína 0,625 mg/ml y 1,25 mg/ml con 8,3-8,4 microgramos/ml clonidina, 50 microgramos/ml morfina y 2 microgramos/ml fentanil, almacenado durante 30 días a 2-8 ºC o 20-22 ºC. La estabilidad química y física en uso se ha demostrado para las dos dosis de levobupivacaína 0,625 mg/ml y 1,25 mg/ml con sufentanilo añadido en una concentración de 0,4 microgramos/ml y almacenado durante 30 días a 2-8 ºC o 20-22 ºC.

Desde un punto de vista microbiológico, el producto debe ser utilizado inmediatamente. Si no es así, el tiempo de almacenaje y las condiciones del producto en uso antes de utilizarlo son responsabilidad del usuario y normalmente no deberían ser más de 24 horas a 2-8 º, a no ser que la mezcla se haya preparado en condiciones asépticas controladas y validadas.

Levobupivacaína Altan 1,25 mg/ml no debe mezclarse con otros medicamentos excepto con aquellos listados arriba. La disolución con soluciones alcalinas como bicarbonato sódico puede dar lugar a precipitación.

Forma de administración

La administración de Levobupivacaína debe realizarse solamente por un médico que tenga el entrenamiento y la experiencia necesarios o bajo la supervisión del mismo.
