1. Qué es KABIPAC CLORURO DE SODIO 9 MG/ML y para qué se utiliza

KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml es una solución para perfusión intravenosa que se presenta en frascos de 100 ml conteniendo 50 ml ó 100 ml de solución, frascos de 250 ml conteniendo 100 ml ó 250 ml de solución, frascos de 500 ml y 1000 ml.

Pertenece al grupo de medicamentos denominados soluciones electrolíticas.

Se utiliza como aporte de electrolitos en los casos en los que exista deshidratación con pérdidas de sales. En estados de hipovolemia (disminución del volumen sanguíneo). Alcalosis débiles. Como vehículo para la administración de medicamentos y electrolitos.

2. QUÉ NECESITA SABER ANTES DE EMPEZAR A USAR KABIPAC CLORURO DE SODIO 9 MG/ML

  • No use KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/mlSi es alérgico al principio activo o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml
  • Si en algún momento le han diagnosticado o detectado problemas de tensión alta, edemas, enfermedades del riñón o hígado, o padece algún trastorno en el corazón.
  • Si presenta hipernatremia (aumento de la concentración de sodio sanguínea), hipercloremia (aumento de la concentración de cloro sanguínea), hipocaliemia (disminución de potasio sanguíneo), o acidosis (pH inferior al rango normal).
  • En estados de hiperhidratación (sobrecarga de líquido).

Advertencias y precauciones

Su médico puede solicitar que se realicen análisis de sangre para monitorizar su estado ya que hay que controlar el balance de agua y sales que existen en el organismo.

Le deben realizar regularmente controles analíticos en la sangre de electrolitos, en terapias prolongadas y en particular si padece de: desequilibrio ácido-base, alteraciones cardíacas, hepáticas y/o renales, así como si es tratado con corticoides o hormona adrenocorticotropa.

Le deben administrar este medicamento con precaución si usted padece de hipertensión, pre-eclampsia (síntomas que preceden a las convulsiones y caída de la tensión en mujeres embarazadas) o aldosteronismo (estado morboso debido a la formación excesiva de aldosterona) u otras condiciones asociadas con la retención de sodio.

KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml se administrará con precaución a prematuros y lactantes a término.

Si se administra continuamente en el mismo lugar de perfusión puede producirse dolor, fiebre, infección, y flebitis (inflamación de las venas).

Uso de KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml con otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando o ha utilizado recientemente cualquier otro medicamento, incluso los adquiridos sin receta médica, ya que puede ser necesario interrumpir el tratamiento o ajustar la dosis de alguno de ellos.

Antes de mezclar con otros medicamentos se deben comprobar las tablas de compatibilidad, tener en cuenta el pH y controlar los iones.

La administración de cloruro de sodio acelera la excreción renal del litio, dando lugar a una disminución de la acción terapéutica de éste.

Debe administrarse con precaución en pacientes tratados con corticoides o hormona adrenocorticotropa, ya que pueden retener agua y sodio.

Embarazo y lactancia

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar cualquier medicamento.

Siempre que la administración sea correcta y controlada no se esperan efectos adversos durante el período de embarazo y de lactancia.

Hasta el momento no se dispone de datos epidemiológicos relevantes por lo que se recomienda que si se utiliza durante estos períodos se haga con precaución.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

No procede, por las características de su empleo.

3. Cómo USAR KABIPAC CLORURO DE SODIO 9 MG/ML

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml indicadas por su médico. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

Su médico le indicará la dosis más adecuada para sus necesidades. Por lo general se recomienda la administración intravenosa gota a gota de acuerdo con su edad, peso corporal, condición clínica, del balance de fluidos, de electrolitos y del equilibrio ácido-base.

Dosificación recomendada:

Para adultos, ancianos y adolescentes: de 500 ml a 3000 ml cada 24 horas

Para bebés y niños: de 20 ml a 100 ml por kg de peso corporal cada 24 horas

Por lo general se recomienda la administración gota a gota de 120- 180 ml/hora, a una velocidad de 40-60 gotas/minuto.

Debe ser administrado por vía intravenosa.

Si usa más KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml del que debiera

En caso de sobredosificación puede aparecer hiperhidratación (exceso de agua), hipernatremia (exceso de sodio), hipercloremia (exceso de cloro) y manifestaciones relacionadas como acidosis metabólica (pH sanguíneo inferior al normal), sobrecarga del corazón y formación de edemas. Se suspenderá la administración y se recurrirá al tratamiento sintomático.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Si se administra continuamente en el mismo lugar de perfusión puede producirse dolor, fiebre, infección, y flebitis que se extiende desde el sitio de inyección, extravasación e hipervolemia.

Si se utiliza como vehículo para la administración de otros medicamentos, la naturaleza de los medicamentos añadidos determinará la probabilidad de otras reacciones adversas.

En caso de reacciones adversas debe interrumpirse la perfusión.

Si experimenta efectos adversos, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico, incluso si se trata de efectos adversos que no aparecen en este prospecto.

5. Conservación de KABIPAC CLORURO DE SODIO 9 MG/ML

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice KabiPac Cloruro de sodio 9 mg/ml si la solución no es transparente y contiene precipitados.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger al medio ambiente.
