1. Qué es Iruxol Mono pomada y para qué se utiliza

Los principios activos son enzimas proteolíticas, que actúan sobre componentes de las úlceras de la piel. Se utiliza para el desbridamiento (limpieza y retirada) de los tejidos necrosados (muertos) en úlceras cutáneas.

2. Antes de usar Iruxol Mono pomada

No use Iruxol Mono pomada

-Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a los principios activos o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento.

Tenga especial cuidado con Iruxol Mono pomada

-Si tiene infección en la úlcera debe consultar al médico, quien le aplicará el tratamiento adecuado, preferiblemente por vía oral. Hay antibióticos que no se pueden usar con este medicamento en la misma zona (ver apartado Uso de otros medicamentos).

-Si usa junto con la pomada algunos jabones o antisépticos puede eliminar el efecto de este medicamento (ver apartado Uso de otros medicamentos).

-En caso de que usted esté debilitado, se requiere precaución y debe consultar al médico por riesgo de extensión de una infección.

-Si transcurridos 14 días desde el comienzo del tratamiento no se ha reducido el tejido muerto debe consultar a su médico, quien interrumpirá el tratamiento y lo sustituirá por otro.

Uso de otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando o ha utilizado recientemente otros medicamentos, incluso los adquiridos sin receta.

Los siguientes productos no deben utilizarse conjuntamente con Iruxol Mono pomada porque pueden reducir o suprimir su actividad:

-Antibióticos aplicados localmente como tirotricina, gramicidina y tetraciclinas.

-Detergentes, jabones, soluciones ácidas o antisépticos como hexaclorofeno y los que contienen metales pesados (por ej. mercurocromo).

-Otros preparados enzimáticos.

Sí que pueden utilizarse los siguientes productos conjuntamente con Iruxol Mono pomada:

  • Antibióticos como neomicina-bacitracina-polimixina B y framicetina.

-Suero salino estéril.

Embarazo y lactancia

Conducción y uso de máquinas

El uso de Iruxol Mono no tiene ningún efecto sobre la conducción o uso de máquinas.

3. Cómo usar Iruxol Mono pomada

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de Iruxol Mono pomada indicadas por su médico. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

Uso cutáneo. Para perforar el tubo sellado se debe presionar utilizando el reverso del tapón.

La dosis normal es:

Adultos

Aplicar una capa de pomada de aproximadamente 2 mm de espesor una vez al día, directamente sobre la zona a tratar ligeramente humedecida, por ejemplo con suero fisiológico. Se puede aplicar también sobre una gasa o apósito estéril que se coloca sobre la úlcera. En ocasiones puede ser necesario aplicar la pomada dos veces al día.

Deben mantenerse condiciones asépticas (de limpieza) estrictas. Antes de cada aplicación deberá limpiarse la lesión suavemente con una gasa impregnada en suero fisiológico u otra solución limpiadora compatible con la pomada para quitar el tejido necrosado (ver apartado Uso de otros medicamentos).

Si no se observa una reducción del tejido necrosado (muerto) después de 14 días desde el comienzo del tratamiento, debe comunicárselo al médico quien lo interrumpirá y sustituirá por otro método de desbridamiento.

Uso en niños No se ha establecido la seguridad y eficacia de Iruxol Mono pomada en niños, por lo que no deberá utilizarse en ellos.

Si usa más Iruxol Mono pomada del que debiera

Debido a las características de este medicamento, destinado a uso cutáneo, no es de esperar que se produzca una intoxicación.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico o acuda a un centro médico, o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono: 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó usar Iruxol Mono pomada

No use más cantidad de pomada para compensar las dosis olvidadas. Si ha olvidado una dosis, aplíquela lo antes posible y continúe con su horario habitual.

Si interrumpe el tratamiento con Iruxol Mono pomada

No interrumpa el tratamiento hasta que se lo indique su médico o de lo contrario no se obtendrían los resultados deseados.

5. Conservación de Iruxol Mono pomada

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 25ºC.

No utilice Iruxol Mono pomada después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de Iruxol Mono pomada

  • Los principios activos son Clostridiopeptidasa A (Colagenasa) y otras enzimas proteolíticas.

1 g de pomada contiene 1,2 UI de Clostridiopeptidasa A (Colagenasa) y 0,24 UI de otras enzimas proteolíticas.

  • Los demás componentes son parafina líquida y parafina sólida.
