1. Qué es Ionil champú y para qué se utiliza

Pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos denominados champúes medicinales. Sus principios activos ayudan a disminuir la excesiva descamación del cuero cabelludo.

Está indicado para el alivio sintomático de las alteraciones descamativas del cuero cabelludo, tales como dermatitis seborreica (erupción con inflamación y descamación), psoriasis (afección escamosa rojiza), caspa y picor.

Ionil champú está indicado en adultos.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Ionil champú

No use Ionil champú

  • Si es alérgico a la brea de hulla o al ácido salicílico o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • Si tiene psoriasis con inflamación, eccema exudativo (que desprende líquido), psoriasis pustular (con ampollas) o eritrodérmica (enrojecimiento) extendida por el cuerpo y generalizada.
  • Si tiene historial de enfermedad foto-inducida o foto-agravada (como dermatosis fotosensible, lupus eritomatoso sistémico).
  • En niños menores de 2 años.

Advertencias y precauciones

Uso cutáneo, exclusivamente sobre el cuero cabelludo.

  • Evitar el contacto con mucosas.

Niños y adolescentes

Este medicamento está contraindicado en niños menores de 2 años y no debe utilizarse en menores de 18 años.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

No procede.

Ionil champú contiene cloruro de benzalconio.

Este medicamento contiene 2 mg de cloruro de benzalconio en cada gramo de champú. El cloruro de benzalconio puede provocar irritación en la piel.

Ionil champú contiene alcohol (etanol)

Este medicamento contiene 135 mg de alcohol (etanol) en cada gramo de champú. Puede causar sensación de ardor en piel lesionada.

3. Cómo usar Ionil Champú

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

Se recomienda aplicar Ionil champú sobre el cuero cabelludo 1 o 2 veces por semana, durante 2 a 4 semanas.

  • Aplicar Ionil champú sobre el cabello mojado.
  • Ejercer un suave masaje y aclarar.
  • Repetir la operación, dejando el producto sobre el cabello durante unos minutos antes de aclarar.
  • Aclarar abundantemente.

Uso en niños y adolescentes

No usar este champú en menores de 18 años (ver sección 2).

Si usa más Ionil champú del que debe

Ionil champú es solamente para uso cutáneo, exclusivamente sobre el cabello. La aplicación excesiva por períodos prolongados del producto no conduce a resultados más rápidos ni mejores y en cambio puede ocasionar irritación intensa. En caso de que esta se produzca, se debe interrumpir el tratamiento. Se ha asociado la aparición de necrosis (daño importante) de la piel sana si se produce abuso del ácido salicílico.

En caso de ingestión accidental se producen nauseas y vómitos.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente con su médico o farmacéutico o acuda a un centro médico, o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, Teléfono: 91 5620420, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó usar Ionil champú

No aplique una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Si tiene cualquier otra duda sobre el uso de este medicamento, pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

En caso de que se produzcan reacciones adversas, el tratamiento debe interrumpirse.

Se ha informado de reacciones de hipersensibilidad que incluyen dermatitis de contacto.

Ocasionalmente, se puede producir enrojecimiento, sequedad, inflamación de los folículos pilosos (foliculitis) e irritación cutánea, erupción acneiforme generalmente con el uso prolongado, sensación de ardor y raramente fotosensibilidad (alergia al sol) en la piel; ocasionalmente, se podría inducir, por el uso de brea de hulla, psoriasis pustular generalizada e infección.

5. Conservación de Ionil Champú

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Ionil champú

  • Los principios activos son Brea de hulla y Acido salicílico. Cada ml de champú contiene 42,5 mg de brea de hulla (4,25 %) y 20 mg de ácido salicílico (2 %).
  • Los demás componentes son: polisorbato 80, alcohol desnaturalizado, etanol, macrogol lauril eter, cloruro de benzalconio, edetato tetrasódico tetrahidratado, ácido cítrico anhídro y agua purificada.
