1. Qué es Hedetus y para qué se utiliza

Hedetus es un medicamento de plantas que se utiliza como expectorante en caso de tos productiva. Contiene el extracto seco de hoja de hiedra (Hedera helixL., folium).

Hedetus está indicado en adultos, adolescentes y niños mayores de 2 años.

Debe consultar a un médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 5 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Hedetus

No tome este medicamento:

  • si es alérgico a la hiedra, otros miembros de la familia Araliaceaeo a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6.1).
  • en niños menores de 2 años, debido a que, por lo general, en este grupo de pacientes los síntomas respiratorios pueden empeorar.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico antes de empezar a tomar este medicamento:

  • si sufre dificultad al respirar, fiebre o esputo purulento
  • si los síntomas persisten durante más de 5 días, si utiliza antitusígenos opiáceos, tales como codeina o dextrometorfano
  • si sufre gastritis o úlcera gástrica

Niños

  • No utilizar en niños menores de 2 años. Véase la sección “No tome este medicamento”

3. Cómo tomar Hedetus

Hedetus debe tomarse por vía oral. El envase contiene un vasito dosificador para medir la dosis correcta.

5. Conservación de Hedetus

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Conservar por debajo de 25°C.

Una vez abierto, el jarabe caduca a los 28 días.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la caja y el frasco después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de Hedetus:

El principio activo es:

Extracto seco de hoja de hiedra (Hedera helixL., folium). 1 ml de jarabe (equivalente a 1,1 g) contiene 5,4 mg de extracto (en forma de extracto seco) de Hedera helixL., folium(hoja de hiedra) (5-7,5:1). Solvente de extracción: Etanol 30% (m/m).

Los demás componentes son:

Lactosa monohidrato, sorbitol (E420), ácido benzoico (E210), goma xantana, glicirrizato amónico, aceite esencial de Eucalyptusradiata (Sieber ex DC) y agua purificada.
