1. Qué es Glycophos y para qué se utiliza

2. Qué necesita saber antes de usar Glycophos

No use Glycophos:

  • si es alérgico (hipersensible) al glicerofosfato sódico o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento.
  • si se encuentra en un estado de deshidratación, hipernatremia (niveles altos de sodio en la sangre) o hiperfosfatemia (niveles altos de fosfato en la sangre).

3. Cómo usar Glycophos

Adultos:

La dosificación recomendada es individual. La dosis diaria recomendada de fosfato durante la nutrición intravenosa es de unos 10 – 20 mmol. Ello puede obtenerse añadiendo 10 – 20 ml de Glycophos a la solución de perfusión o a la mezcla cuya compatibilidad ha sido comprobada.

Niños:

La dosificación recomendada es individual. La dosis recomendada para niños y recién nacidos es 1,0-1,5 mmol/kg de peso corporal/día.

La solución se administrará mediante perfusión intravenosa. Antes de usar comprobar que la solución es homogénea y que el vial no está dañado.

Si usa mas Glycophos del que debiera:

No se han observado efectos adversos causados por una sobredosificación. La mayoría de los pacientes necesitados de nutrición intravenosa tienen un aumento en la capacidad de admitir glicerofosfatos.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte con su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica. Teléfono 915 620 420, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad utilizada.

5. Conservación de Glycophos

Mantener fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

Conservar por debajo de 25°C. No congelar.

No utilice Glycophos después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

No utilice este medicamento si observa que la solución no es homogénea o el vial está dañado.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Glycophos

  • El principio activo es glicerofosfato sódico pentahidratado. Un ml de Glycophos contiene 306,1 mg de principio activo (equivalente a 216 mg de glicerofosfato sódico anhidro).
  • Los electrolitos en 1 ml son fosfato (1 mmol) y sodio (2 mmol).
  • Los demás componentes son ácido clorhídrico (para ajustar el pH) y agua para preparaciones inyectables.

Compatibilidad

Las adiciones deben realizarse de forma aséptica.

  • 120 ml de Glycophos y 48 mmol de calcio (CaCl2) pueden añadirse a 1000 ml de Vamin Glucosa, Vamin 14, Vamin14 sin electrolitos y Vamin 18 sin electrolitos.
  • 10 ml de Glycophos y 10 mmol de calcio (CaCl2) pueden añadirse a 1000 ml de Glucosa 50 mg/ml.
  • 20 ml de Glycophos y 20 mmol de calcio (CaCl2) pueden añadirse a 1000 ml de Glucosa 200 mg/ml.
  • 60 ml de Glycophos y 24 mmol de calcio (CaCl2) pueden añadirse a 1000 ml de Glucosa 500 mg/ml.

Tiempo de perfusión

El tiempo de perfusión no debe ser inferior a 8 horas

Estabilidad

Cuando se realizan adiciones a una solución para perfusión, la perfusión deberá ser administrada dentro de las 24 horas siguientes a su preparación para prevenir una contaminación microbiana. El contenido sobrante de frascos/viales/ampollas abiertos deberá ser desechado y no podrá guardarse para uso posterior.
