1. Qué es Fluidín Mucolítico y para qué se utiliza

La Carbocisteina, principio activo de este medicamento pertenece al grupo de medicamentos denominados mucolíticos, que actúan disminuyendo la viscosidad del moco, fluidificándolo y facilitando su eliminación.

Fluidín Mucolítico está indicado para facilitar la eliminación del exceso de mocos y flemas, en catarros y gripes, para adultos y adolescentes a partir de 12 años.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Fluidín Mucolítico

No tome Fluidín Mucolítico:

  • Si es alérgico (hipersensible) a la carbocisteína y sus derivados, o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • Si padece úlcera de estómago o duodeno.
  • Este medicamento está contraindicado en niños menores de 2 años.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Fluidín Mucolítico.

  • Si padece asma o cualquier enfermedad respiratoria grave ya que se puede aumentar la obstrucción de las vías respiratorias.
  • Durante los primeros días de tratamiento podrá observar un aumento de mocos y flemas que irá disminuyendo a lo largo del tratamiento.

Toma de Fluidín Mucolítico con otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando, ha utilizado recientemente o podría tener que utilizar cualquier otro medicamento.

No tome este medicamento con medicamentos utilizados para reducir la tos no productiva (antitusivos) ni con medicamentos utilizados para inhibir las secreciones bronquiales porque puede provocar un acumulo del moco fluidificado.

Toma de Fluidín Mucolítico con alimentos y bebidas

Tome este medicamento preferentemente antes de las comidas.

Uso en niños

Este medicamento no debe administrarse a niños menores de 12 años.

Embarazo y lactancia

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar este medicamento.

Este medicamento no se debe utilizar durante el embarazo a no ser que su médico se lo indique.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

La influencia de Fluidin Mucolitico sobre la capacidad de conducir y utilizar máquinas es nula o insignificante.

Fluidín Mucolítico contiene sacarosa, parahidroxibenzoato de metilo, sal de sodio (E-219), parahidroxibenzoato de propilo, sal de sodio (E-217) y sulfitos

Este medicamento contiene sacarosa. Si su médico le ha indicado que padece una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares, consulte con él antes de tomar este medicamento.

Los pacientes con diabetes mellitus deben tener en cuenta que este medicamento contiene 2 g de sacarosa por cada 5 ml.

Puede producir reacciones alérgicas (posiblemente retardadas) porque contiene parahidroxibenzoato de metilo, sal de sodio (E-219) y parahidroxibenzoato de propilo, sal de sodio (E-217).

Este medicamento puede producir reacciones alérgicas graves y broncoespasmo (sensación repentina de ahogo) porque contiene sulfitos.

3. Cómo tomar Fluidín Mucolítico

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es:

  • Adultos y adolescentes a partir de 12 años: Inicialmente 15 ml (750 mg de carbocisteína) 3 veces al día. Una vez que observe mejoría, puede reducir a 10 ml (500 mg de carbocisteína) 3 veces al día.

Uso en niños

Los niños menores de 12 años no pueden tomar este medicamento.

Este medicamento se administra por vía oral, sólo o bien diluido en agua u otro líquido y preferentemente antes de las comidas.

Instrucciones para la correcta administración del preparado

Coger la cantidad de medicamento a tomar utilizando el vaso dosificador incluido en la caja que tiene marcadas las siguientes medidas: 2,5 ml, 5 ml, 7,5 ml, 10 ml y 15 ml.

Coloque el vaso dosificador sobre una superficie plana y a la altura de los ojos. Llénelo de la solución hasta la línea que indica su dosis.

Después de su uso, lave el vaso dosificador con agua.

Se recomienda beber un vaso de agua después de cada dosis y abundante cantidad de líquido durante el día.

Si empeora, o si no mejora después de 5 días de tratamiento, o se produce fiebre, erupciones en la piel, dolor de cabeza persistente o dolor de garganta, debe consultar a su médico.

Si usted ha tomado más Fluidín Mucolítico del que debe, puede notar dolor de estómago, náuseas y diarreas, picor y erupciones en la piel.

Si ha tomado más Fluidín Mucolítico del que debe, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico, o bien llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono: 91 562 0420, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Fluidín Mucolítico puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Durante el periodo de utilización de la carbocisteína se han observado los siguientes efectos adversos cuya frecuencia no se ha podido establecer con exactitud.

En ocasiones pueden aparecer náuseas, malestar gástrico o diarreas, que suelen desaparecer al disminuir la dosis.

Raramente se han observado otras reacciones como sangrado en el estómago o en el intestino, dolor de cabeza, picor y erupciones en la piel y muy raramente dificultad para respirar.

En estos casos, se aconseja interrumpir el tratamiento y consultar al médico.

5. Conservación de Fluidín Mucolítico

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la etiqueta del frasco o en la caja después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Fluidín Mucolítico:

  • El principio activo es carbocisteína. Cada ml de solución oral contiene 50 mg de carbocisteína.
  • Los demás componentes son: sacarosa, parahidroxibenzoato de metilo, sal de sodio (E-219), parahidroxibenzoato de propilo, sal de sodio (E-217), esencias de frambuesa agreste y naranja, caramelina, ácido clorhídrico para ajuste de pH, hidróxido sódico para ajuste de pH, agua desmineralizada. Ver la sección 2, “Fluidin Mucolítico contiene sacarosa, parahidroxibenzoato de metilo sal de sodio (E-219), parahidroxibenzoato de propilo sal de sodio (E-217) y sulfitos”.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase:

Fluidín Mucolítico es una solución para administración por vía oral que se presenta en frasco de vidrio con tapón de polipropileno/polietileno de alta densidad (PP/HDPE) con cierre a prueba de niños (Child-Proof), que contiene200 ml de solución oral y un vasito dosificador.
