1. Qué es Duspatalin y para qué se utiliza

Duspatalin contiene como principio activo hidrocloruro de mebeverina, que pertenece al grupo de medicamentos denominados antiespasmódicos, que actúan sobre el intestino.

Para qué se utiliza Duspatalin

Duspatalin se utiliza para aliviar los síntomas del síndrome del intestino irritable (SII) y otras enfermedades similares tales como colon irritable en adultos

EL síndrome del intestino irritable es una enfernedad muy común que causa espasmos y dolor en el intestino.

El intestino es un largo tubo muscular por el que pasan los alimentos para que puedan ser digeridos. Si se produce un espasmo en el intestino y la presión es demasiado fuerte, provoca dolor.

Los síntomas varían de una persona a otra pero pueden incluir:

  • dolor de estómago y cólicos
  • sensación de distensión abdominal y de tener gases
  • diarrea, estreñimiento o una combinación de ambos
  • deposiciones (heces) pequeñas, duras, fragmentadas o acintadas.

Su dieta y estilo de vida pueden ayudar también a tratar el indrome del intestino irritable (SII)

No tome Duspatalin- Si es alérgico al hidrocloruro de mebeverina o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6)

Si tiene obstrucción inestinal (íleo paralítico).

3. Cómo tomar Duspatalin

Toma de este medicamento

  • Duspatalin está indicado en adultos.
  • Trague los comprimidos enteros con un vaso de agua lleno. No los machaque ni mastique.
  • Intente tomar los comprimidos a la misma hora del día. Esto le ayudará a recordar que tiene que tomar el medicamento.

Uso en adultos

  • La dosis habitual es de un comprimido tres veces al día.
  • Los comprimidos actúan mejor si los toma 20 minutos antes de una comida y deja pasar el mismo número de horas entre una toma y la siguiente.

Uso en niños y adolescentes

Este medicamento no se recomienda para su uso en niños y adolescentes menores de 18 años debido a que no se dispone de datos suficientes.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Deje de tomar Duspatalin y acuda a un médico inmediatamente si experimenta cualquiera de los siguientes efectos adversos graves, ya que puede necesitar tratamiento médico urgente:

5. Conservación de Duspatalin

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase, después de CAD o EXP. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Conservar por debajo de 25 ºC.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.
