1. Qué es Condrosan y para qué se utiliza

Condrosan se presenta en forma de cápsulas duras para administración oral, disponible en

envases de 60 cápsulas. Pertenece al grupo de los otros agentes antiinflamatorios y

antirreumáticos no esteroideos.

Condrosan está indicado en el tratamiento sintomático de la artrosis.

2. Antes de tomar Condrosan

No tome Condrosan

  • Si es hipersensible al condroitín sulfato o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de

Condrosan.

Tenga especial cuidado con Condrosan

  • Si padece alguna enfermedad grave del riñón o del hígado o del corazón. Consulte a su

médico.

Uso de otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está utilizando o ha utilizado recientemente otros

medicamentos, incluso los adquiridos sin receta.

La administración de Condrosan, a dosis muy superiores a las recomendadas, junto con algún

medicamento antiagregante plaquetario para prevenir la trombosis, tales como ácido

acetilsalicílico, dipiridamol, clopidrogel, ditazol, triflusal y ticlopidina, podría aumentar

levemente el efecto de los medicamentos anteriormente citados.

Toma de Condrosan con los alimentos y bebidas

Puede tomar Condrosan antes, durante o después de las comidas. No obstante, si a menudo

experimenta molestias de estómago con la toma de medicamentos, es aconsejable tomar

Condrosan después de las comidas.

Embarazo y lactancia

No tome Condrosan si está embarazada, ya que no existen datos suficientes sobre su utilización

en mujeres embarazadas.

Se desconoce si los principios activos de Condrosan pasan a la leche materna. Por tanto, no

tome Condrosan si está en período de lactancia, ya que no existen datos suficientes sobre el

efecto que puede producir este medicamento a la salud de su bebé.

No es de esperar que Condrosan afecte a la capacidad de conducir vehículos y utilizar máquinas.

3. Cómo tomar Condrosan

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de Condrosan indicadas por su médico.

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

Adultos y ancianos

La dosis normal es de 2 cápsulas (dosis diaria total: 800 mg) al día, preferiblemente en una sola

toma (2 cápsulas a la vez) durante al menos 3 meses. No obstante, y siempre que el médico lo

considere oportuno, podrá iniciarse el tratamiento con una dosis de 1.200 mg (3 cápsulas al día,

en una sola toma o en 2 tomas) durante las primeras 4 ó 6 semanas para seguir con 800 mg (2

cápsulas al día preferiblemente en una sola toma) hasta completar el período de administración

de al menos 3 meses.

Condrosan se administrará como mínimo durante 3 meses tras los cuales se podrá realizar, un

período de descanso de 2 meses, dado el efecto remanente del producto, para posteriormente

volver a reiniciar el tratamiento siguiendo el mismo ciclo.

Las cápsulas deben tomarse sin masticar. Se pueden tomar antes, durante o después de las

comidas, con una cantidad suficiente de líquido.

Niños y adolescentes menores de 18 años

Condrosan no está recomendado para uso en niños y adolescentes menores de 18 años, debido a

la ausencia de datos sobre seguridad y eficacia

Si toma más Condrosan del que debiera

Si usted ha tomado más Condrosan del que debiera, es probable que no experimente ningún

síntoma. No obstante, debería informar a su médico o farmacéutico.

Si olvidó tomar Condrosan

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

Si interrumpe el tratamiento con Condrosan

Los síntomas pueden reaparecer.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, Condrosan puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no

todas las personas los sufran.

En raras ocasiones (entre 1 y 10 de cada 10.000 pacientes) se ha descrito la aparición de náuseas

y/o alteraciones gastrointestinales, que generalmente no requieren la suspensión del tratamiento.

En muy raras ocasiones (en menos de 1 de cada 10.000 pacientes) se ha descrito algún caso de

edema y/o retención de agua.

En muy raras ocasiones (en menos de 1 de cada 10.000 pacientes) se ha comunicado alguna

reacción de tipo alérgico.

Si considera que alguno de los efectos adversos que sufre es grave o si aprecia cualquier efecto

adverso no mencionado en este prospecto, informe a su médico o farmacéutico.

5. Conservación de Condrosan

Conservar en el envase original para protegerlo de la humedad.

Mantener fuera del alcance y de la vista de los niños.

No utilice Condrosan después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.
