BRONCHOSTOP Antitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas es un medicamento tradicional a base de plantas para la tos productiva asociada al resfriado, para aliviar la tos seca y calmar la garganta irritada.

Basado exclusivamente en su uso tradicional.

BRONCHOSTOP Antitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas es un medicamento para adultos, adolescentes y niños mayores de 6 años de edad.

Cómo actúaBRONCHOSTOPAntitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas

Basado en la evidencia de una larga tradición de uso, los componentes del tomillo ayudan en la expectoración del moco viscoso y persistente y relajan los espasmos de los episodios bronquiales, liberando así las vías respiratorias.

Si es hipersensible (alérgico) a los principios activos, a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6), o a otras plantas de la familia de las Labiadas o Lamiaceae.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de tomar BRONCHOSTOP Antitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas.

Si tiene asma o es propenso a desarrollar reacciones alérgicas, existe un posible riesgo de que este medicamento pueda desencadenar reacciones alérgicas en pacientes que tienen tendencia a desarrollar reacciones alérgicas o asma. El tratamiento debe detenerse ante el primer síntoma de reacción alérgica (ver sección 4. Posible efectos adversos).

BRONCHOSTOP Antitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas contiene sorbitol (E420) y maltitol (E965), propilenglicol (E1520), alcohol bencílico (E1519) y sodio.

Este medicamento contiene 615 mg de maltitol (E965), 210 mg de sorbitol (E420) y maltodextrina (que contiene glucosa) en cada pastilla. El sorbitol es una fuente de fructosa. Si su médico le ha dicho que usted (o su hijo) tiene intolerancia a ciertos azúcares o si le han diagnosticado intolerancia hereditaria a la fructosa (IHF), un trastorno genético raro en el que una persona no puede descomponer la fructosa, hable con su médico antes de que usted (o su hijo) tome o reciba este medicamento.

Consulte con su médico antes de tomar este medicamento si le ha indicado que padece una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares.

Una pastilla corresponde a aproximadamente 0,1 unidades de carbohidratos. Esto debe considerarse en pacientes con diabetes mellitus.

El medicamento contiene 6,42 mg de propilenglicol en cada pastilla.

Este medicamento contiene 0,005 mg de alcohol bencílico (E1519) en cada pastilla. El alcohol bencílico (E1519) puede causar reacciones alérgicas. Consulte con su médico o farmacéutico si tiene una enfermedad del hígado o del riñón, si está embarazada o si está en periodo de lactancia. Esto se debe a que se pueden acumular grandes cantidades de alcohol bencílico en su cuerpo y provocar efectos secundarios (lo que se denomina “acidosis metabólica”). No lo use durante más de una semana en niños pequeños, excepto si se lo recomienda su médico o farmacéutico.

3. Cómo tomar BRONCHOSTOP Antitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración del medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos y adolescentes mayores de 12 años:

1 – 2 pastillas cada 4 horas (4 a 6 veces al día). La dosis máxima diaria es 12 pastillas.

Niños entre 6 – 12 años:

1 pastilla cada 3-4 horas (4 a 6 veces al día). La dosis máxima diaria es 6 pastillas.

Niños menores de 6 años:

No se recomienda el uso de este medicamento en niños menores de 6 años de edad debido a que no hay suficientes datos disponibles y se debería pedir consejo médico.

Forma de administración:

Para uso oral (chupar la pastilla hasta que se deshaga en la boca).

Duración de la administración:

La duración recomendada del tratamiento es de 5 días. Si no hay una mejora significativa en este periodo consulte al médico pues podría existir una enfermedad más seria.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

5. Conservación de BRONCHOSTOP Antitusivo y expectorante, pastillas blandas

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No conservar a temperatura superior a 25ºC.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad, escrita en la caja en el epígrafe “Fecha de caducidad”, después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Los principios activos son:

51,1 mg de extracto seco de tomillo (Thymus vulgariso Thymus zygis, hojas y flores, relación droga-extracto = 7-13:1; solvente de extracción:agua).

4,5 mg de extracto seco de raíz de malvavisco (Althaea officinalis, raíz, relación droga-extracto = 7-9:1; solvente de extracción: agua).

Los demás componentes son:

Acacia (E414), sorbitol líquido (no cristalizable, E420), maltitol líquido (E965), maltodextrina, ácido cítrico anhidro (E330), sacarina sódica, aromatizante de aronia (el cual contiene propilenglicol (E1520)), aromatizante de frutos del bosque (el cual contiene propilenglicol (E1520) y alcohol bencílico (E1519)), parafina líquida ligera, agua purificada.
