1. Qué es Bronchiclear y para qué se utiliza

Medicamento a base de plantas utilizado como expectorante en caso de tos productiva.

Bronchiclear está indicado en adultos y adolescentes a partir de 12 años.

Debe consultar a un médico si empeora o si no mejora después de 7 días.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Bronchiclear

No tome Bronchiclear

  • si es alérgico (hipersensible) al tomillo o a la hoja de hiedra, a otras plantas de la familia de las lamiáceas (Labiatae) o araliáceas, o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • Bronchiclear no debe utilizarse en niños menores de 2 años.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Bronchiclear y

  • si los síntomas persisten más de 7 días
  • si los síntomas empeoran durante el uso del medicamento
  • si padece dificultad para respirar, fiebre o esputo purulento o sanguinolento
  • si padece gastritis o úlcera gástrica

Niños

No está indicado el uso en niños de 2 a 12 años. Este medicamento no debe administrarse a niños menores de 2 años

Otros medicamentos y Bronchiclear

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o pudiera tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento. No se han estudiado los efectos del uso concomitante de otros medicamentos. Hasta la fecha se desconocen las interacciones con otros medicamentos.

Embarazo y lactancia

No se ha establecido la seguridad de su uso durante el embarazo y la lactancia. A falta de datos suficientes, no se recomienda el uso de Bronchiclear durante el embarazo.

Se desconoce si los principios activos o los metabolitos de Bronchiclear se excretan en la leche materna. No puede excluirse un riesgo para el recién nacido o niño en periodo de lactancia. Por lo tanto, Bronchiclear no debe utilizarse durante la lactancia.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

Este medicamento contiene aproximadamente 310 mg de alcohol (etanol) en cada 1,85 ml, lo que equivale a 168 mg/ml (15 % m/m). La cantidad contenida en 1,85 ml de este medicamento es equivalente a menos de 8 ml de cerveza o 4 ml de vino.

La pequeña cantidad de alcohol que contiene este medicamento no no produce ningún efecto perceptible.

Bronchiclear contienen maltilol líquido (contiene sorbitol)

Si su médico le ha indicado que padece una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares, consulte con él antes de tomar este medicamento.

Este medicamento contiene 34,20 mg de sorbitol en cada 1,85 ml, lo que equivale a 18,5 mg/ml.

3. Cómo tomar Bronchiclear

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico si tiene dudas.

La dosis recomendada es:

Adultos y adolescentes a partir de 12 años: 1,85 ml 3 veces al día.

La dosis máxima diaria es de 5,55 ml.

Utilizar el vasito dosificador incluido para tomar Bronchiclear 3 veces al día. Tragar Bronchiclear sin diluir. Beber algo de líquido (preferiblemente agua) después de tomar el medicamento. Agitar bien antes de cada uso.

Si los síntomas persisten más de 7 días durante el uso del medicamento, se debería consultar a un médico o farmacéutico.

No se disponen de datos suficientes para recomendaciones de posología en pacientes con una función renal o hepática disminuida.

Uso en niños

No se recomienda el uso en niños de 2 a 12 años. Este medicamento no debe administrarse a niños menores de 2 años.

Si toma más Bronchiclear del que debe

En caso de sobredosis pueden aparecer trastornos gastrointestinales como náuseas, vómitos y diarrea.

Si ha tomado una más Bronchiclear del que debe, informe a su médico. Su médico decidirá las medidas necesarias.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó tomar Bronchiclear

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas, pero siga tomando Bronchiclear tal y como lo prescribió su médico o como se describe en este prospecto.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

5. Conservación de Bronchiclear

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la caja y en el frasco después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Este medicamento originalmente cerrado no requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

Periodo de validez después de la primera apertura: 6 meses.

Después de la primera apertura: conservar por debajo de 25° C.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Los principios activos son: 1 ml (correspondiente a 1,09 g) de Bronchiclear son:

490 mg de extracto líquido de Thymus vulgarisL. o Thymus zygisL., herba, o una mezcla de ambas especies (hierba de tomillo) (1:2-2,5); agente de extracción: solución de amoníaco 10 % m/m / glicerol 85 % m/m / etanol 90 % v/v / agua (1/20/70/109).

49 mg de extracto líquido de Hedera helixL., folium (hojas de hiedra) (1:1); disolvente de extracción: etanol 70 % v/v.

Los demás componentes son: etanol 96%; hidroxipropilbetadex; levomentol; maltitol líquido (contiene sorbitol (E420)); agua purificada.

El medicamento contiene máx. 15 % m/m de etanol, equivalente a máx. 21 % v/v de etanol.

Aspecto del producto y contenido del envase

Bronchiclear es un líquido transparente de color marrón. Durante el almacenamiento puede producirse una ligera turbidez y/o precipitados resuspendibles.

Bronchiclear se presenta en frascos de vidrio marrón equipados con ayuda para verter (LDPE), tapón de rosca (PP) con cierre a prueba de manipulaciones (HDPE) y vaso dosificador (PP) con la graduación correspondiente:1,85 ml.
