1. Qué es Bilastina Vivanta y para qué se utiliza

Este medicamento contiene bilastina como principio activo, que es un antihistamínico. Bilastina se usa para aliviar los síntomas de la rinoconjuntivitis alérgica (estornudos, picor nasal, secreción nasal, congestión nasal y ojos rojos y llorosos) y otras formas de rinitis alérgica. También puede usarse para tratar las erupciones de la piel con picor (habones o urticaria).

Toma de Bilastina Vivanta con alimentos, bebidas y alcohol

Estos comprimidos nodeben tomarse con alimentoso con zumo de pomelo u otros zumos de frutas, ya que esto disminuiría el efecto de bilastina. Para evitar esto usted puede:

  • tomar el comprimido y esperar una hora antes de comer o de tomar zumos de frutas, o
  • si ha tomado usted comida o zumo de frutas, esperar durante dos horas antes de tomar el comprimido.

Bilastina, a la dosis recomendada (20 mg), no aumenta la somnolencia producida por el alcohol.

3. Cómo tomar Bilastina Vivanta

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada en adultos, incluyendo pacientes de edad avanzada y adolescentes de 12 o más años de edad, es de 1 comprimido (20 mg) al día.

  • El comprimido es para tomar por vía oral.
  • El comprimido debe tomarse una hora antes o dos horas después de haber tomado cualquier alimento o zumo de fruta (ver sección 2, “Toma de Bilastina Vivanta con alimentos, bebidas y alcohol”).
  • Trague el comprimido con un vaso de agua.
  • La ranura sirve únicamente para partir el comprimido si le resulta difícil tragarlo entero.

Con respecto a la duración del tratamiento, su médico determinará el tipo de enfermedad que usted padece y le indicará durante cuánto tiempo debe tomar Bilastina Vivanta.

Uso en niños

Para niños de 6 a 11 años de edad con un peso corporal mínimo de 20 kg existen otras formas farmacéuticas más adecuadas – bilastina 10 mg comprimidos bucodispersables o bilastina 2,5 mg/mL solución oral -, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico.

No administre este medicamento a niños menores de 6 años de edad con un peso corporal inferior a 20 kg ya que no se dispone de datos suficientes.

Si toma más Bilastina Vivanta del que debe

Si usted, o cualquier otra persona, excede la dosis de este medicamento, informe a su médico inmediatamenteo acuda al servicio de urgencias del hospital más cercano. Por favor recuerde llevar consigo este envase de medicamento o este prospecto.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, acuda a un centro médico o llame al Servicio de Información Toxicológica, teléfono: 91 562 04 20, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad utilizada.

Notome una dosis doble para compensar una dosis olvidada.

Si olvida tomar su dosis, tómela tan pronto como sea posible, y después vuelva a su pauta habitual de dosificación.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran. Si experimenta reacciones alérgicas cuyos síntomas pueden incluir dificultad para respirar, mareos, colapso o pérdida de consciencia, hinchazón de la cara, de los labios, de la lengua o de la garganta y/o hinchazón y enrojecimiento de la piel, deje de tomar este medicamento y acuda inmediatamente a su médico.

5. Conservación de Bilastina Vivanta

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase y en el blíster después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Este medicamento no requiere condiciones especiales de conservación.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto Sigre de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

6. Contenido del envase e información adicional

Composición de Bilastina Vivanta:

  • El principio activo es bilastina. Cada comprimido contiene 20 mg de bilastina.
  • Los demás componentes son celulosa microcristalina, carboximetilalmidón sódico tipo A (derivado de patata), sílice coloidal anhidra, estearato magnésico.

Aspecto de Bilastina Vivanta y contenido del envase

Bilastina Vivanta 20 mg son comprimidos no recubiertos de color blanco a blanquecino, de forma ovalada, biconvexos, grabados con "M" y "B" a cada lado de la ranura y lisos en el otro lado.

La ranura es solo para facilitar la ruptura para facilitar la deglución y no para dividir en dosis iguales.

Bilastina Vivanta está disponible en cajas de 10, 20, 30, 40 y 50 comprimidos en blísteres.
