1. Qué es Ambroxol Aldo-Unión y para qué se utiliza

Ambroxol Aldo-Unión contiene el principio activo ambroxol, que pertenece a un grupo de medicamentos llamados mucolíticos que se usan para facilitar la eliminación de la mucosidad de las vías respiratorias.

Ambroxol Aldo-Unión está indicado para el tratamiento sintomático en procesos broncopulmonares agudos y crónicos que cursan con un exceso en la producción y viscosidad del moco, para adultos y niños a partir de 2 años.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a tomar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión

No tome Ambroxol Aldo-Unión:

  • si es alérgico al ambroxol o a alguno de los demás componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).
  • si tiene una enfermedad grave del hígado y/o de los riñones.
  • en niños menores de 2 años de edad.
  • si está en el primer trimestre del embarazo.

Advertencias y precauciones

Consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de empezar a tomar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión:

  • si tiene lesiones en el estómago (úlcera péptica).
  • si presenta una alteración leve o moderada de la función renal.
  • si padece problemas graves del hígado.
  • durante los 3 primeros meses del embarazo o si está dando el pecho a un bebé.

TENGA EN CUENTA:

Se han notificado casos de reacciones cutáneas graves (síndrome de Stevens-Johnson y necrólisis epidérmica tóxica) asociadas a la administración de ambroxol. Concretamente, la fase inicial de dichas enfermedades podría manifestarse con síntomas parecidos a los de la gripe, como fiebre, dolor, resfriado (rinitis), tos y dolor de garganta.

Si aparece una erupción en la piel (incluye lesiones en las mucosas de la boca, garganta, nariz, ojos o genitales), deje de tomar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión y consulte inmediatamente a un médico.

Si durante la administración de la solución nebulizada aparece tos irritativa, debe intentar inspirar y espirar con normalidad durante la inhalación. Si usted es especialmente sensible, puede pre-calentar la solución a inhalar a la temperatura corporal.

Si padece asma bronquial, es conveniente administrar un medicamento (espasmolítico bronquial) antes de la inhalación.

Niños

No se debe administrar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión en niños menores de 2 años, ya que los mucolíticos pueden dar lugar a obstrucciones de las vías respiratorias (bronquios).

Uso de Ambroxol Aldo-Unión con otros medicamentos

Informe a su médico o farmacéutico si está tomando, ha tomado recientemente o pudiera tener que tomar cualquier otro medicamento.

Antes de tomar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión, informe al médico de que está tomando medicamentos como amoxicilina, cefuroxima o eritromicina (antibióticos utilizados para el tratamiento de las infecciones causadas por bacterias).

No se han observado interacciones con otros medicamentos.

Embarazo y lactancia

Si está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, cree que podría estar embarazada o tiene intención de quedarse embarazada, consulte a su médico o farmacéutico antes de utilizar este medicamento.

Embarazo

No se recomienda tomar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión durante el primer trimestre. Durante el segundo y tercer trimestres, Ambroxol Aldo-Unión solo se debe usarse después de haber consultado al médico y haber valorado con él la relación de riesgo/beneficio de cada caso en particular.

Lactancia

Ambroxol Aldo-Unión se excreta por la leche materna, y por lo tanto no está recomendado el uso de este medicamento durante la lactancia materna.

Conducción y uso de máquinas

Ambroxol Aldo-Unión no altera la capacidad para conducir y utilizar máquinas.

Ambroxol Aldo-Unión contienesodio

Este medicamento contiene menos de 23 mg (1 mmol) por ampolla, por lo que se considera esencialmente “exento de sodio”

3. Cómo tomar Ambroxol Aldo-Unión

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración de este medicamento indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, consulte de nuevo a su médico o farmacéutico.

Cada ampolla monodosis contiene 2 ml e incluye una marca que señala un volumen de 1 ml (media dosis).

Solución para inhalación por nebulizador:

Adultos y niños mayores de 5 años: 2 ml (1 ampolla) dos veces al día.

Niños de 2 a 5 años: 1 ml - 2 ml (media ampolla - 1 ampolla), 1 o 2 veces al día.

La solución puede administrarse mediante los dispositivos de aerosolterapia utilizados normalmente. También puede diluirse en agua destilada en una proporción de 1:1.

Solución oral:

Adultos: 2 ml - 4 ml (1 – 2 ampollas), 3 veces al día.

Niños mayores de 5 años: 1-2 ml (1/2 ampolla – 1 ampolla), de 2 a 3 veces al día.

Niños de 2 a 5 años: 1 ml (media ampolla), de 2 a 3 veces al día.

Diluir la solución en un poco de agua, té, leche o zumo de frutas. El medicamento debe administrarse con las comidas.

Si utiliza media dosis, vuelva a cerrar la ampolla monodosis presionando sobre el tapón y consérvelo en la nevera (2-8 °C) durante un máximo de 12 horas.

Si toma más Ambroxol Aldo-Unión del que debe

El riesgo de presentar reacciones adversas aumenta. En caso de ingestión/toma accidental de una dosis excesiva de Ambroxol Aldo-Unión, informe inmediatamente al médico o acuda al hospital más cercano.

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

Interrumpa inmediatamente la administración de Ambroxol Aldo-Unión y consulte a un médico si aparece alguno de los siguientes trastornos: picor, manchas en la piel (urticaria, erupción cutánea), hinchazón (angioedema) de la cara, los ojos, los labios y/o la garganta con dificultad para respirar, debidos a alergia (hipersensibilidad).

  • reacciones de hipersensibilidad;
  • erupción, urticaria.

  • reacciones anafilácticas, como shock anafiláctico, angioedema (hinchazón de rápida progesión de la piel, del tejido subcutáneo, de las mucosas o de tejidos submucosos) y prurito.
  • reacciones adversas cutáneas graves (tales como eritema multiforme, síndrome de Stevens-Johnson/necrólisis epidérmica tóxica y pustulosis exantemosa generalizada aguda).
  • obstrucción de las vías respiratorias (bronquios).
  • sequedad de garganta.

5. Conservación de Ambroxol Aldo-Unión

Mantener este medicamento fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice este medicamento después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en la caja, sobre de aluminio o la ampolla después de “CAD”. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

Una vez abierto el sobre de aluminio, las ampollas monodosis deben utilizarse en el plazo máximo de tres meses conservándose dentro del sobre.

Cuando se utiliza media dosis, la ampolla debe conservarse entre 2-8 oC (en la nevera) utilizándose en un plazo máximo de 12 horas.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. En caso de duda pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma, ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.
