How does the promo code and payout system work?

For every adaptation service ordered through your account, you receive 10% of the service fee. Patients using your promo code also benefit from a discount. Payouts are processed by request.

What is prescription adaptation, and how does it work?

Prescription adaptation aligns your recommendations with the standards of Spain, France, Germany, and Portugal through a physician-to-physician consultation. Licensed doctors in the patient’s country review your prescription and conduct a short consultation with the patient. Based on this, they decide whether to approve, modify, or decline the request, ensuring it complies with local healthcare regulations.

Are the adapted prescriptions legal?

Yes. Adapted prescriptions are issued by licensed doctors who are members of their respective country’s medical boards. These doctors conduct consultations through our platform and issue prescriptions only when they meet local healthcare standards.

What happens if the medication I prescribed is unavailable?

If the prescribed medication is unavailable in the patient’s country, the local doctor will suggest a safe and approved alternative. If no suitable substitute exists or if the prescription involves controlled substances (e.g., certain psychotropics or opioids), the request will be declined. In such cases, you will receive a full refund for the service fee. However, requests for controlled substances are non-refundable due to their ineligibility under our policy.

How are patient and doctor data protected?

All data is processed securely in compliance with GDPR. Advanced encryption safeguards your and your patients' information throughout the entire process.

Who pays for prescription adaptation – me or my patient?

You decide. The service fee can be covered by either you or your patient. If the patient pays, they receive a secure Stripe payment link for a seamless and transparent transaction. The fee primarily compensates the local collaborating doctor for their professional consultation. To make the service more accessible, you can share a promo code with your patient for a discount.

Who is responsible for the adapted prescription?

The licensed doctor in the patient’s country is fully responsible for reviewing and issuing the adapted prescription. Your role is to provide accurate and complete recommendations, which are then reviewed for compliance with local regulations.

Can I access my patient’s test results?

Yes. Patients can upload their test results to the platform after receiving them digitally. If needed, we can provide translations of these results into the required language for your convenience.

What happens if there’s an issue with the adapted prescription at the pharmacy?

If a problem occurs, our 24/7 support team will assist. We will contact the licensed doctor who issued the prescription to resolve the issue promptly.

Does Oladoctor comply with local health authorities' regulations?

Yes. All adaptations are carried out by doctors who are licensed and registered with the official medical boards of their respective countries, including Spain, France, Germany, and Portugal. This guarantees that prescriptions comply with all legal and healthcare standards and are issued by fully qualified professionals.

Why should I use Oladoctor instead of referring patients to a local doctor?

Are controlled substances eligible for prescription adaptation?

No. Controlled substances, including opioids (morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone), psychotropics (benzodiazepines, barbiturates), stimulants (amphetamine, methylphenidate), and other regulated compounds, cannot be adapted through Oladoctor.
