- You should consult a doctor if it worsens or does not improve after 6 days.
1. What is Pure Pege Vaseline and what is it used for
Pure Pege Vaseline is a moisturizing ointment.
It is indicated for symptomatic relief of dry, cracked, irritated, and scalded skin.
As a lip moisturizer. Skin protector.
For use by qualified healthcare personnel: As a lubricant in general for gynecological and rectal examinations, insertion of catheters, and application of dressings.
2. What you need to know before starting to use Pure Vaseline Pege
Do not use Pure Vaseline Pege
- If you are allergic to petroleum jelly.
Warnings and precautions
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Pure Vaseline Pege.
- It is a medication for external use only.
- Avoid contact with the eyes.
- Do not ingest.
Children and adolescents
Pure Vaseline Pege can be used in children as a moisturizer.
Use in explorations should be supervised by qualified healthcare personnel.
Use of Pure Vaseline Pege with other medications
Inform your doctor or pharmacist that you are using or have recently used other medications.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, believe you may be pregnant, or intend to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.
Do not apply the medication to the breasts while breastfeeding.
Driving and operating machines
The use of this medication does not affect the ability to drive and operate machines.
3. How to use Pure Vaseline Pege
Follow exactly the administration instructions of the medication contained in this leaflet or those indicated by your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. In case of doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:
- On the skin and lips:
Topical use.
Apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area 2 or 3 times a day, if necessary.
- In gynecological and rectal examinations (by qualified healthcare personnel):
Apply a thin layer of the product to the friction area before each examination.
Use in children and adolescents
It will be applied in the manner indicated above.
If you use more Pure Vaseline Pege than you should
No cases of intoxication have been reported if you use more vaseline than indicated.
With excessive doses in the rectum, anal leakage and irritation may occur.
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately or call the Toxicological Information Service. Phone: 91 562 04 20, indicating the medication and the amount ingested (or visit a medical center).
If you forgot to use Pure Vaseline Pege
Do not apply a double dose to compensate for the missed doses.
If you interrupt treatment with Pure Vaseline Pege
If you have any other questions about the use of this medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible Adverse Effects
Like all medications, Pure Vaseline PG may cause adverse effects, although not everyone will experience them.
There have been isolated cases of allergy (sensitivity reaction) in susceptible individuals; it may also cause acne. There have been instances of inflammatory reactions after absorption.

If you experience any type of adverse effect, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse, even if it is a possible adverse effect not listed in this prospectus. You can also report them directly through the Spanish System for Pharmacovigilance of Medicinal Products for Human Use. 5. Conservation of Pure Petroleum Jelly
This product does not require special conditions for conservation.
Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medication after the expiration date that appears on the packaging after CAD. The expiration date is the last day of the month indicated.
Do not use this medication if you observe visible signs of deterioration.
Medications should not be disposed of through drains or in the trash. Dispose of the packaging and medications you no longer need at the SIGRE collection point of the pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the packaging and medications you no longer need. In this way, you will help protect the environment.
6. Content of the packaging and additional information
Pure White Petroleum Jelly Composition
- The active ingredient is pure white petrolatum.
- It does not contain excipients.
Product appearance and packaging contents
The product is presented in the form of an ointment; it is a white, translucent, greasy mass to the touch.
It is presented in an aluminum tube with 5 g and 33 g of ointment.
