1. Qué es Hidrathea y para qué se utiliza

Hidrathea es una solución que humedece, lubrifica e hidrata la superficie de los ojos.

Hidrathea está indicado para aliviar los síntomas de irritación y la sequedad en los ojos.

La ausencia de conservante en el producto permite su uso con las lentes de contacto puestas.

2. Qué necesita saber antes de empezar a usar Hidrathea

No use Hidrathea

  • si es alérgico al cloruro de sodio o a cualquiera de los componentes de este medicamento (incluidos en la sección 6).

Hidrathea contiene fosfatos

Este medicamento contiene 37,3 mg de fosfatos en cada gota que equivale a 1,25 mg/ml.

Si sufre de daño grave en la córnea (la capa trasparente de la parte frontal del ojo) el tratamiento con fosfatos, en casos muy raros, puede provocar visión borrosa por acumulación de calcio.

3. Cómo usar Hidrathea

Siga exactamente las instrucciones de administración contenidas en este prospecto o las indicadas por su médico o farmacéutico. En caso de duda, pregunte a su médico o farmacéutico.

La dosis recomendada es de una gota de la solución en el interior del párpado inferior del ojo afectado, de 3 a 4 veces al día y, hasta 8 veces al día si es necesario, debido a la molestia ocular causada por la deficiencia de lágrimas.

La aplicación debe realizarse a intervalos regulares a lo largo del día, de acuerdo con las necesidades del paciente.

El envase de Hidrathea incorpora una nueva tecnología, que se denomina sistema ABAK®, para el suministro estéril del producto sin conservantes.

Como precaución general en todo envase de colirios, la aplicación del colirio deberá realizarse con el máximo de pulcritud evitando cualquier contacto del gotero con los dedos y la superficie del ojo o cualquier otra, a fin de prevenir una contaminación microbiana del ojo.

Lavarse cuidadosamente las manos antes de proceder a la aplicación.

Verificar que el precinto del envase esté intacto.

Abrir el envase desenroscando el tapón.

Instilar una gota en el ojo mirando hacia arriba y tirando del párpado hacia abajo. El tiempo de aparición de la gota es superior al de un envase clásico de colirio.

Volver a tapar el frasco después de cada utilización.

Si no se observa una mejoría o persisten los síntomas, consulte con su médico o farmacéutico.

Si usa más Hidrathea del que debe

Debido a las características de este preparado, destinado a ser administrado por vía oftálmica, no son de esperar fenómenos de intoxicación.

En caso de ingestión accidental en grandes cantidades, consulte inmediatamente a su médico o farmacéutico o al Servicio de Información Toxicológica. Teléfono 915620420.

Si olvidó usar Hidrathea

No use una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas. Utilice una dosis normal y aplíquese la siguiente según la pauta que tenga establecida.

Si interrumpe el tratamiento con Hidrathea

Si interrumpe el tratamiento prematuramente, debe informar a su médico o farmacéutico.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

Al igual que todos los medicamentos, este medicamento puede producir efectos adversos, aunque no todas las personas los sufran.

El único efecto adverso observado es la aparición de un ligero picor que suele ser pasajero.

5. Conservación de Hidrathea

Mantener fuera de la vista y del alcance de los niños.

No utilice Hidrathea después de la fecha de caducidad que aparece en el envase después de CAD. La fecha de caducidad es el último día del mes que se indica.

No utilice Hidrathea después de 8 semanas de la primera apertura del envase.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Deposite los envases y los medicamentos que no necesita en el Punto SIGRE de la farmacia. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que ya no necesita. De esta forma,ayudará a proteger el medio ambiente.

Composición de Hidrathea

  • El principio activo es cloruro de sodio. Cada ml de solución contiene 9 mg de cloruro de sodio.
  • Los demás componentes son: hidrógeno fosfato de sodio dodecahidrato, dihidrógenofosfato de sodio y agua para preparaciones inyectables.
