1. Qué es EchinaMed Junior y para qué se utiliza

EchinaMed Junior comprimidos, es un medicamento tradicional de plantas para aliviar los síntomas del resfriado y la gripe, basado exclusivamente en su uso tradicional.

2. Antes de tomar EchinaMed Junior

No tome EchinaMed Junior si usted:

  • Es alérgico a las plantas de la familia de las Asteraceae (Compuestas), o a alguno de los componentes del producto.
  • Padece tuberculosis o sarcoidosis
  • Padece una enfermedad autoinmune.
  • Sufre condiciones que reducen su resistencia a una infección ( ejemplo SIDA)
  • Está sometido a un tratamiento con inmunosupresores
  • Sufre enfermedades que se caracterizan por un bajo recuento de glóbulos blancos tales como agranulocitosis o leucemia.
  • Tiene tendencia a tener alergias con síntomas de urticaria, eczema o asma.

No se debe administrar a niños menores de 1 año

Tenga especial cuidado con EchinaMed Junior

  • Si durante el uso del medicamento, los síntomas empeoran o hay fiebre alta, se debe consultar a un médico o a un farmacéutico.
  • Existe un posible riesgo de reacción anafiláctica en pacientes atópicos, quienes deberán consultar a su médico antes de tomar este medicamento.
  • Este medicamento contiene sorbitol. Si usted ha sido informado por su médico que padece una intolerancia a ciertos azúcares, consulte con él antes de tomar este medicamento.

Toma de otros medicamentos:

No se recomienda tomar este medicamento junto a inmunosupresores tales como ciclosporina y metotrexato.

Embarazo y Lactancia

Como medida de precaución y en ausencia de datos suficientes, el uso durante el embarazo y la lactancia no está recomendado.

IMPORTANTE PARA LA MUJER

Si usted está embarazada o cree que pudiera estarlo, consulte a su médico antes de tomar este medicamento. El consumo de medicamentos durante el embarazo puede ser peligroso para el embrión o el feto y debe ser vigilado por su médico.

Conducción y uso de maquinarias:

No se han realizado estudios de los efectos de EchinaMed Junior sobre la capacidad para conducir vehículos y utilizar maquinaria.

3. Cómo tomar EchinaMed Junior

Adolescentes mayores de 12 años

Tomar 2 comprimidos, 3 a 5 veces al día.

Niños de 6 a 12 años

Tomar 1 comprimido, 3 a 5 veces al día.

EchinaMed Junior es un medicamento que se administra por vía oral.

El tratamiento debe comenzar en cuanto se detecten los primeros síntomas del resfriado. La duración recomendada del tratamiento es de 10 días.

Los comprimidos se deben tomar con agua o deshacer en la boca, antes de las comidas.

No se debe utilizar más de la dosis recomendada

Si los síntomas persisten por más de 10 días, se debe consultar al médico o al farmacéutico.

No se recomienda a niños menores de 6 años.

Está contraindicado el uso en niños menores de 1 año.

Si toma más EchinaMed Junior de lo que debiera

Si como consecuencia de una toma excesiva, se siente enfermo, coménteselo al médico. Una toma excesiva es poco probable que sea dañina.

En caso de sobredosis o ingestión accidental, acuda a un centro médico o consulte al Servicio de información Toxicológica, teléfono 91 562 0420, indicando el medicamento y la cantidad ingerida.

Si olvidó tomar EchinaMed Junior

No tome una dosis doble para compensar las dosis olvidadas.

4. Posibles efectos adversos

No tome EchinaMed Junior si es alérgico a las plantas de la familia de las

Asteraceae (Compuestas), o a alguno de los componentes del producto.

Como todos los medicamentos EchinaMed Junior puede tener efectos adversos. Interrumpa el tratamiento y consulte a su médico si se producen reacciones alérgicas como:

  • Erupción cutánea (rash)
  • Urticaria
  • Trastornos inflamatorios de la piel (Síndrome de Stevens-Johnson)
  • Hinchazón de la piel debido a líquido
  • Hinchazón de la cara (edema de Quincke)
  • Reducción del paso del aire a los pulmones (broncoespasmo)
  • Asma y reacciones alérgicas graves (shock anafiláctico)

La echinacea puede desencadenar reacciones alérgicas en pacientes atópicos.

Se ha relacionado el uso de preparados de Echinacea purpureacon la aparición de enfermedades autoinmunes tales como encefalitis diseminada, eritema nodosum, inmunotrombocitopenia, Síndrome de Evans, Síndrome de Sjögren con disfunción renal tubular.

La frecuencia de estos efectos adversos es desconocida.

5. Conservación de EchinaMed Junior

Conservar en el envase original para protegerlo de la humedad. Almacenar a temperatura ambiente.

Mantener fuera del alcance y la vista de los niños

No utilice EchinaMed Junior después de la fecha de caducidad indicada en el envase.

Los medicamentos no se deben tirar por los desagües ni a la basura. Pregunte a su farmacéutico cómo deshacerse de los envases y de los medicamentos que no necesita. De esta forma ayudará a proteger al medio ambiente.
