1. What is Mentholated Vaseline Orravan and what is it used for

It contains menthol as the active ingredient, which, when applied to the skin, causes a sensation of cold followed by an analgesic (pain-relieving) effect and also has decongestant properties.

Mentholated Vaseline Orravan is indicated for:

  • Symptomatic relief of superficial skin pains such as itching and hives (rashes on the skin with itching in general), and neuropathic pains (of nervous origin).
  • When applied to the chest, relief of nasal congestion symptoms.

2. What you need to know before starting to use Mentholated Vaseline Orravan

Do not use Mentholated Vaseline Orravan:

  • If you are allergic to menthol or to the other component of this medication, vaseline.
  • In children under 3 years of age.
  • In areas of infected, inflamed, or wounded skin, or in inflammatory skin diseases.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and children over 3 years:

  • As an analgesic, apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area twice a day.
  • As a decongestant, apply a thin layer of the ointment to the chest at night before bed.

For skin use.

Apply the ointment with a gentle massage.

Wash your hands after each application.

If the symptoms worsen or persist after 5 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Use in Children

Do not use this medication in children under 3 years of age.

If You Use More Mentholated Vaseline Orravan Than You Should

Given the type of medication and the route of administration, it is not expected to cause intoxication due to overdose.
