1. What is Terbasmin and what is it used for

Terbasmin is a medicine that provides quick relief from symptoms such as difficulty breathing in patients with asthma or similar conditions.

2. What you need to know before taking Terbasmin

Do not take Terbasmin

  • If you are allergic to terbutaline sulfate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Using Terbasmin with other medicines

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.

Certain medicines used to treat high blood pressure, heart problems, and in some eye drops, which contain beta-blockers, may reduce or cancel the effect of Terbasmin when taken together.

When Terbasmin is used with other medicines, low potassium levels in the blood may appear. This effect is usually unimportant, but in some cases, it may affect the heart rhythm.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

Terbasmin contains Sorbitol

It may have a mild laxative effect because it contains 1.5 g of sorbitol per 10 ml dose.

Caloric value: 2.6 Kcal/g of sorbitol.

3. How to take Terbasmin

If you take more Terbasmin than you should

The most common symptoms and signs that may occur after an overdose are: nausea, headache, rapid or irregular heartbeat, muscle cramps, nervousness, restlessness, tremors, fainting, or unusual drowsiness.

If you forget to take Terbasmin

Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten doses.

Composition of Terbasmin

  • The active ingredient is terbutaline sulfate. Each ml contains 0.3 mg of terbutaline sulfate.
  • The other ingredients are: Sorbitol (E-420), glycerol (E-422), sodium citrate (E-331), sodium benzoate (E-211), disodium edetate, raspberry flavor, lemon flavor, and purified water.
