What isElvanse Adults
ElvanseAdultscontains the active ingredient lisdexanfetamina dimesilato that acts on brain activity. It helps to improve attention, concentration, and reduce impulsivity.
ElvanseAdultsis a long-acting medication that acts gradually over 14hours.
What is it used for
Elvanse Adults is part of an integrated treatment program for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults who have had ADHD since childhood. If you have not received previous treatment forADHD, your doctor will check if you have had ADHD since childhood before prescribing ElvanseAdults.
You must inform your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a month of treatment.
Elvanse Adults is not recommended for all patients with ADHD, and the decision to use this medication should be based on a thorough medical evaluation.
For children and adolescents aged 6 to 17years, there is another medication available that contains lisdexanfetamina dimesilato. ElvanseAdultsis not indicated for the treatment of ADHD in children under 6years of age, as its safety and efficacy in such young individuals are unknown.

ElvanseAdultsimproves the activity of certain parts of the brain that are underactive. The medication may help improve attention, concentration, and reduce impulsive behavior.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or intend to become pregnant, consult your doctor before using this medication.
Elvanse Adults in the body is transformed into other substances that can cross the placenta and pass into breast milk.The available data on the use of Elvanse Adults during the first three months of pregnancy do not indicate an increased risk of congenital malformations in the child, but may increase the risk of preeclampsia (a condition that usually occurs after 20weeks of pregnancy and is characterized by high blood pressure and protein in the urine) and premature birth. Newborns exposed to amphetamine during pregnancy may exhibit withdrawal symptoms (tremors, irritability, hypertonia).Do not use this medication during pregnancy unless your doctor explicitly tells you to, and do not breastfeed while taking Elvanse Adults.
Driving and operating machines
You may feel dizzy, have trouble focusing, or see blurry when taking Elvanse Adults. If this happens, it is dangerous to engage in activities such as driving or operating machines.
This medication contains less than 23 mg of sodium (1 mmol) per capsule; it is essentially “sodium-free”.

How to take Elvanse Adults
Use a spoon to break up any lumps and mix ElvanseAdultswell with the yogurt, water, or orange juice until everything is well mixed. Take all the yogurt or drink all the water or orange juice immediately after mixing with ElvanseAdults. Do not save it. Do not worry if there is a film left in the glass or container; it is not the active ingredient.

Abuse of Elvanse Adults
Take more ElvanseAdultsthan you should
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, consult a doctor, pharmacist, or call the Toxicological Information Service, phone 915620420, indicating the medication and the amount ingested.
The signs of overdose may include:restlessness, tremors, increased uncontrolled movements, muscle tremors, rapid breathing, confusion, tendency to fight or argue, seeing, feeling, or hearing things that are not real (hallucinations), panic state, high fever, or muscle collapse. You may then feel tired and depressed. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps may also occur. Changes in heart rhythm (slow, fast, or irregular) may also occur, as well as high or low blood pressure, circulatory collapse, seizures, and coma.
Missed dose
Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose. If you miss a dose, wait until the next day. Avoid taking the dose in the afternoon to prevent sleep disturbances (insomnia).
Discontinuing treatment with Elvanse Adults
If you stop taking this medication, your ADHD symptoms may return.
Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly or on your own.

ElvanseAdultsdoes not need to be taken forever. If you take ElvanseAdultsfor more than a year, your doctor should interrupt the treatment for a brief period, such as during vacations. This allows you to see if you still need the medication.

Store this medication in a safe place, where other people cannot access it. It may cause serious harm to individuals who have not been prescribed it.
Do not usethis medicationafter the expiration date that appears on the bottle and on the box afterCAD. The expiration date is the last day of the month indicated.
Do not use this medication if thecapsules show any type of damage.
Medications should not be disposed of through drains or in the trash. Dispose of the containers and medications you no longer need at the SIGREpoint of the pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to dispose ofthe containers and medications you no longerneed. By doing so, you will help protect the environment.
The active ingredient is lisdexanfetamine dimesilate.
Each hard capsule contains 50 mg of lisdexanfetamine dimesilate, which is equivalent to 14.8 mg of dexanfetamine.
