1. What is Ciclopirox Olamina Capitec 15 mg/g Shampoo and how is it used

This medication belongs to the group of external (topical) dermatological antifungals.

This medication is indicated for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.

2. Before using Ciclopirox Olamina Capitec 15 mg/g Shampoo

Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo is intended for external use only.

As with all shampoos, avoid contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse with plenty of water.

This product has not been tested in children.

Do not use Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo

In case of hypersensitivity to Ciclopirox Olamina or any of the excipients.

Be especially careful with Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo:

If you observe persistent skin irritation. In this case, discontinue treatment.

If you have known sensitivity to fragrance, avoid using this shampoo.

Pregnancy

Given the short duration of contact with the skin and the low systemic absorption level, Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo may be used during pregnancy. Your doctor will assess the need to use this medication.

Remember to use your medication.

Your doctor will tell you how long to use Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo. Do not stop treatment early, as the medication may not be effective.

If you think the effect of Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Apply a sufficient amount of Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo to your wet hair to produce abundant foam. Massage the scalp and surrounding areas vigorously with your fingertips. Then, rinse your hair well and repeat the process. Leave the shampoo in contact with the scalp for 3-5 minutes.

Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo should be used two or three times a week.

The recommended treatment period is 4 weeks.

4. Possible Adverse Effects

Like all medications, Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo may have adverse effects.

Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo may cause, in rare instances, skin irritation. If persistent irritation occurs, treatment should be discontinued.

If any other adverse reaction is observed, not previously described, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist of any unwanted effect, especially if not mentioned in the leaflet.

5. Conservation of Ciclopirox Plamina Capitec 15 mg/g Shampoo

Keep Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo out of the reach and sight of children.

No special conservation precautions are required.

Do not use Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo after the expiration date.

Once the container is opened, the shampoo should be used within 8 weeks.

Composition of Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo

The active ingredient is Ciclopirox Olamina. Each 100 g of shampoo contains 1.5 g of Ciclopirox Olamina.

The other components are: Sodium lauryl sulfate 70%, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Sodium dodecyl phosphate dodecahydrate, Citric acid monohydrate,Coco monoethanolamide propoxylated, Hexylene glycol, Oleic alcohol, Polysorbate 80, Polyquaternium 10, Sodium hydroxide, Purified water, Fragrance Rifskin 54193.

Ciclopirox Olamina CAPITEC 15 mg/g Shampoo is a viscous, colorless to yellowish solution. Each package contains 100 ml of shampoo.
